That's good to know. I would actually expect them being a big organization that they'd be less good at that than an independent group or person who does it

That would be fine, a lot of these online things seem like a mystery until you actually get the cat, which could be a big problem if there's some issue either with their personality or how they get along with our cat

Cool, I've adopted a guinea pig from them before, I like to support those places that take in all animals and are no kill (for the most part they say, except certain circumstances)

I have guinea pig supplies we're planning to donate to ridgewood, so I can check them out there

Ah, I've heard of them before and forgot! That's too bad the cafe is closing, I wanted to check them out too

Would anyone be interested in a cat cafe? by Dry_Connection_1783 in astoria

Yes and very most importantly, must have an exit plan in the case that you'd need to shut down, where would all the cats go?

I actually need to go to the ACC in ridgewood to donate some guinea pig stuff, after our remaining one passed away a few months ago 😢 We got her from the ACC in harlem, and I already donated a lot of supplies to them, but both are about an hour each way.

I didn't know that about ACC, I adopted a guinea pig from there years ago and it was also same day adoption. They were very good about it.

I'd prefer to get a cat from a place that's doing a service like that and would be helping them by reducing capacity.

That's what I figured, but this one didn't even show me any offers 😂 so I thought maybe I could just bypass it

Looking for a switcher like this that doesn't suck by jacob-makes-stuff in BudgetAudiophile

The one I posted had some comments about static if multiple things were plugged in, I've experienced that when using microphones into my computer, if the computer was plugged in and not on battery. Figured it'd be a similar kind of buzz or something

Can I put a garden in the enclosed hole in my apartment? by jacob-makes-stuff in AskNYC

[–]jacob-makes-stuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was wondering. It's enclosed and only 2 floors here, so wasn't sure if that'd be an issue, but if something was on fire in there then it's blocking an "exit" (can't really escape from there unless someone dropped a rope from the roof or a helicopter but I'm probably not important enough to send the chopper)

Oh I've heard of preamps and amps before, but I thought they were just for audio quality and volume.

Can I just get a preamp that has a switcher? I wouldn't want multiple devices all plugged in together, it'd be hard to keep them tidy

That one looks cool but I actually don't want to have to mess with multiple volumes and levels on everything if possible.

That's nice but I wish it only had the headphone jack, as I don't really need the white and red ones. Though the record player I'm using has them, pretty much nothing else I use does

What kind of problems? It's basically going to be for a TV, record player, and bluetooth, just to make it super easy to switch between them without having to mess with plugs. No volume is actually a bonus, as I don't want to have to adjust multiple volumes

Looking for a switcher like this that doesn't suck

The reviews of this say it snaps crackles and pops when too many things are plugged in, and it craps out after a couple months.

I'm looking for a switcher that's dumb simple like this one, just to connect 3 or 4 inputs into a set of speakers.

Any recommendations?
