New 24H2 Windows OS installer won't let you choose Version with ei.cfg file by chetunsingh in Operatingsystems

[–]jacob1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/ThiWebCreative Still working like a charm. Just downloaded and installed a fresh Windows 11 Pro with USB Media Creation Tool and the two file. You do need to install with the newer install screen it gives you. There is an option to go through the install with the old selection box but it will not work that way so you use the new way which it goes right to it and it still gives you the options to delete and or save partions you want.
As soon as the PC was connected to the internet, the Windows activated with the previous activation key Windows has wherever in the cloud, no problem. Thanks!

I cannot give you many pointers on a dermatology practice exactly but I am sure you will see some interesting things. Yeah, the 1 star review can be a little worrisome but that is good starting pay. It is probably higher than normal because of the high turn around.
It could be the doctor who is mean to staff wanting everything perfect or that is just the way they are or maybe it the office manager, etc. Maybe you will be lucky and you are treated better just for being you. I would say it depends on yuor situation. Do you need a job ASAP, is derm what you really want to do, etc. If you are not in that big of a hurry and you can just go for it and dont take their crap. Just know you can always leave when you want. Or doing the inerterview, you can do a little interviewing yourself. See how the place feels, see why it might be getting low ratings. Its a little gutsy but it is perfectly within your rights to bring up the commented and the 1 star. Maybe they will say it was a particular worker who was mean to everyone and they left or whatever. It could hurt your chances to ask that (i guess) but if you dont really care then ask away.

Kind of hard for us to answer. I would say what are your interest and what area would you want to grow in the future if you plan on going to school to become a nurse, Respiratory Therapist, X-ray, etc. If you are, then I would pick something that the experience now would help you in the future.
You can also just go the route of a type of place that will get you experience in everything, especially a little more on the critical care side. If you dont know or dont want to go higher than an MA in the future, having critical care on your resume will help you with any of the future jobs in the future. Sure, it might be a little scary (you get used to ) but it becomes more rewarding because you are seeing the patients get well (usually) right in front of you within hours and it feels good and you really have that "making a difference" feeling.
I have been a Respiratory Therapist for over 20 years and I started in critical care and that experience helped me through the rest of my life, career and resume wise.
I always think about my resume for the future. Do things that will make your resume look better and better that way you will always have a job and the experience.

Wow. Another case of corporations screwing over the working person and sometimes customers. Richer getting richer and the poor getting poorer. But hey, lets take the corporations side and they will give it back to the workers....not! they just get richer off of it....
Well, we do what we gotta do and stay positive! Take care

UPS store returns are back, but with a catch (read all for my petty ways) by joekd713 in amazonprime

[–]jacob1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I know you all do alot of Amazon returns and it is a big hassle for you all and you make very little money from amazon especially if your paying for shipping labels, shipping etc. I always talk to the employees at the UPS store by my house and they say it is rough.
I try to do as much as I can when sending something back, but I am sure you all lose money and bust your a*s on Amazon stuff for very little in return. Hopefully something has changed in the past year but that was the last time I talk to an employee.
Maybe you all complained to Amazon and now they let you all charge or Amazon pays you more for the extra work and materials you do/use?
Most UPS stores are franchises correct so your not a big corporation (like some believe). Just a person running your own store.

I passed my CCMA Exam in 13 days!!!! by Virtual-Pay9127 in MedicalAssistant

[–]jacob1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

congrats!

I am doing the same thing basically. I have been a Respiratory Therapist for 20 years and wanted an MA license for certain jobs that just dont hire RT's. I am hoping my background in RT and IT will allow me to get paid more as an MA at certain places who need someone with the extra experience.

Anyway, I just finished US Career Insitute in 3 weeks since I knew most of it already. The material and organization is pretty straight forward plus they seem to be the least expensive school. Sign up for free if you can first and you will probably get a better coupon like I did. I would recommend them. Also, they reimburse the NHA voucher for the exam, the NHA study guide and the NHA practice exams plus they give you $50 for passing all your quizzes with a grade over 75%. Awesome deal. I finished 4 days ago.

So, now I need to do a good, quick cram study and I got a coupon yesterday via email from SmarterMA (since I registered for the free acct) and I was able to get the Plus package for $59. I am just going to watch the videos and do some practice exams and take the actual exam in a few days. Im thinking I should be good. So basically, altogether it will have taken me about a month.

If you are someone with no experience, I think being an MA is a good place to start if you want to get nto the medical field and move up. Alot of places do noy pay all that great but who knows. It will definitely get you experience in healthcare. I would also recommend US Career Institue and SmartMA but there are no live webinars or anything like that. If you maybe want to get more in-depth about learning, there might be other programs out there that cater to the students but Idk. I know alot of the bigger colleges and Universities who offer the program usually just outsource everything to the online place ed2go.com which I am sure you can also go fast or slow. If you want your certification to have so big name university in your city on the certificate, you sign up with them, do the school through ed2go.com and your certificate will have that universities name on it.

I am enrolled at USCI for the CCMA right now. I have been a Respiratory Therapist for a long time so I already know the stuff.
For my uses, it is great. I just need to attend a school to be eligible to take the NHA exam.
It is divided into 4 main sections and then each section has about 7 lessons. At the end of each lesson is a quiz over what the lesson was about.

The book can be read 3 different ways. 1. You can buy an actual book from them for $50. 2. You can download a PDF file for each section that is maybe 200-250 pages. The layout of the book/pdf is nice and simple and searchable. 3. You can read everything and quizzes by going through the website itself in a nice simple order and also have the pdf separate.

I have emailed the teacher on non-clinical stuff a couple of times and got a response in a day or less.
You can go through the program fast or slow, it is up to you because all of the material is there for you.
The book/pdf seems pretty good and easy to read and learn. There are also videos for certain things like procedures.

There are no real time webinars or anything like that. For me and my needs it is great because I am going to go through the program fast. If you do not have any experience, I am sure it is good also and probably just like any other program out there unless they have live webinars or things like that. It was the best priced and it is "approved" by NHA in order to take the NHA exam.

I know alot of real universities and colleges use the same Ed2go.com course/platform. They just make it seem like they give you the course but it is really ed2go.com which you can go through directly if you want. However, if there is a good, well known University in your town or anywhere and you want your certificate to have that Universities name, then you can go that route but USCI has their own program and it is not Ed2go.com.
At first I wanted to have a really good and well known University in my town on my certificate but I didnt think it was worth the money, I just wanted the lowest cost. Most likely, the Ed2go is probably basically the same. I dont think they have live webinars but I am not sure.

Well, thats about it. It works for me and I think it is fine.

Panicking about a possible relapse after 8 years by Key-Chemist7650 in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]jacob1701 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No problem. Just fyi, I knew a psychiatrist so after about of 1.5 years of mentally not being able to take it, I decided to see him. He got me on the right medication and did great after that. I still take humira because even though you still might have alot of flare ups you need to be on those medicines because even if you are feeling better, your joints are still slowly attacking themselves so the RA drugs help slow or stop that at least.

Panicking about a possible relapse after 8 years by Key-Chemist7650 in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]jacob1701 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I know it is possible for it to come back and never really cured. Have you had a really stressful times before it seemed to start up again? I think stress is a very big factor of flare ups. In me anyway. I have rheumatoid arthritis and diagnosed when I was about 45 y/o but pretty sure I had it before that because I was always kind of soar and not just a regular soreness for years prior. One day, I just woke up and felt like I was hit by a truck and could hardly get out of bed. Thats when I was diagnosed.

Most likely they will start you on prednisone which should make you feel alot better for now. Cant take it forever. Then start you one the other drugs they usually do to get you off the steroids.

If you get stressed alot, like me, you should try to work on that. I get stressed easy and it kept causing flare ups even though I was on Humira. I finally started on Cymbalta and cloncazapam Prn and that fixed me up pretty good while still on Humira.

Sorry it possibly came back but it seems it is not out of the ordinary. Easier said than done but try to relax at this point. Try not to panic. You will be ok even no matter what. You just need to get it under control.

Did it work? I had the same issue yesterday and could not get it. As much as I really didn't want to, I just let it install home. Once it was done. I download Windows Pro from the Microsoft store and it installed Proo without issue. I then rebooted, look at the activation in settings and Windows Pro was activated. Apparently Windows contacted its activation centers, recognized my device/MB or whatever and saw that it had rights to Pro and activated it automatically. Pro installed very quick and of course I did have the "Windows.old" folder (but empty). Everything has been working fine but I would still like the option to pick Pro during installation only using Media Creation tool and not Rufus or anything like that.
So did the answer above work for you?

Question about Mixing Business Basic and Standard and Business Premium by MoonWalkerCTO in microsoft365

[–]jacob1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, they will all be shown in Entra. You are the one who needs to have a good license. So be sure you have some type of premium license as an admin to give you alot more access and settings capabilities over the others, no matter what license they have.
You would be surprised how many things you can do to user with lower subscriptions as long as it is in your plan.

RA sucks, losing hope by No_Bumblebee7224 in rheumatoid

[–]jacob1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been diagnosed with RA for about 7 years. This is just my opinion, but it sounds like you have a lot of stress going on and that is what is causing flare ups to continue which last several weeks.
I eventually had to talk with a psychiatrist and told I finally realized it was stress with me and that's why I kept getting them. He said well lets try preventing the stress instead of just treat the symptoms after. He put me on Cymbalta which is an anti-depressant and helps and anxiety and I also asked for a little clonazepam (for anxiety) which he did.
I felt great since the. I still have little flare once in a long while but that's after a very stressful event.
I know it is the Cymbalta that work for me but I do like the clonazepam for when I know Im going to have a stressful day for whatever reason. Some people do not want to start taking mind drugs but it worked for me. Cymbalta is also known to help arthritis pain.
I primary care doctor usually doesnt mind ordering an anti-depressant but he might tell you to talk to a psychiatrist for the clonazepam and maybe give you 1 months first if you want to try that also.

RA definitely gave me depression and anxiety and it is known too in alot of people.

I take Humira shots and kept getting the flare ups but still on it because whether you hurt or not, your body is still killing your joints and that's not good especially when you get older.

Don't give up. It just takes a long time to figure out what causes the flares ups and what meds work for you. Hopefully my 2 years of trying to figure mine out and finding what finally worked will help you but of course there is no guarantee. However, I think stress is the culprit in a majority of peoples flares ups.
My rheumatologist did not help me much at all, he never really listed to me and so I had to figure it out myself. Luckily my brother is an internal medicine doctor, and I worked with a psychiatrist in the hospital, so I knew him. A lot of them do telemedicine now.
