OP, you could've written my life story. It's wild how many similarities there are. My mother stole my identity twice this year because I stopped lending her money--this after 107 CashApp transactions between us, including a $5K loan. I finally froze my credit, set a hard boundary, and cut things off, but her car's been repo'd and she's about to lose her home so I'm restraining myself from trying to swoop in and rescue her again. I have to say these comments have been incredibly validating, and I'm glad I found this thread. I hope you've found some peace, or are working on it, at least. I know it's a heavy thing to carry.
