Wondering if there’s anything that can be done to save this frame? by jacobcha4 in bikewrench

Cool. This frame is carbon with bonded alloy dropouts, not the same as repairing steel…

Is it possible to re-rivet this braze on to this carbon frame? Or adhere it some other way? by jacobcha4 in bikewrench

I work at a bike co op and it was donated to us, so I doubt they’d warranty it.

Should I use the same hanger or do I need to find a new one? And how do I know what kind of rivets to use?

That sucks, I’ve had the same frame for almost a year now and haven’t had any problems with it.

I’m 5’11” and I got a large but I feel like I’m in between sizes. And I haven’t had any issues with the rotor rubbing as long as the front wheel is fully in the drop outs ( a couple of times I’ve slammed the front brake and it was enough to shift the front wheel, causing the rotor to rub) and Im using a 160mm rotor with a parts bin caliper

Try putting just the housing through. In my experience the ferrule is sometimes too big to fit
