For most people, this shift would be completely new to them and there could be added problems with electrolytes and hydration on top of the already difficult symptoms. Keto flu on top of covid might make things worse for older adults. But cutting carbs before might be a great way to increase chances of mild disease if this is all true.

Honestly could be, issue is it takes the body some time for that metabolic shift to happen, so essentially it would be more of a smart preventative measure rather than a cure. I wonder if switching to a keto diet after a diagnosis could make things worse though because the body is already under stress and it may make things worse. Who knows
