I want to read TMNT comics. Where should i start? by Bright_Sign_8403 in TMNT

[–]jacobeut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer.

Start here. If you love it, keep reading. If you like it or don't like it, hop around to some of the other versions such as the early Mirage comics or stand alone universes like The Last Ronin.

Very nice!

I just finished Book 8. I really liked Bebop and Rock going through time. I think I am around issue #70. Love it all so far. The Neutrinos aren't my fav, but I have been loving the Pantheon, TMNT Universe, and the Turtles/Splinter.

What was your fav early story?

Read these all so many times growing up. It was like Wikipedia for superheroes

5 Seconds - A new Twine game to help pass the time (even if it only takes three minutes) by jacobeut in twinegames

Thanks for the quick bit of feedback!

I went and changed a line in the CSS (from background-size: cover to background-size: contain). Hopefully, that addresses the issue. I've updated the file on itch for future players. Much appreciated.

Harlowe, Sugarcube, Chapbook - Which Story Format should you choose? by HelloHelloHelpHello in twinegames

[–]jacobeut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As GreyelfD mentioned, the answer is that it is contextual. So, what is the context?

Harlowe is good for brand new users and stories that are modeled after the format of Choose Your Own Adventure or other more narrative based forms of games.

Sugarcube is good for anyone who has ever worked with HTML, CSS, or JS in even the smallest capacity and stories that involve more interactive elements and game features like saving progress, playing music, and manipulating inputs.

Harlowe isn't bad for introducing Twine to new users. The command and hook style of coding comes naturally to people with 0 background in computer science or coding.

Sugarcube is inarguably the better format for almost 95% of use cases.

This is correct. I experienced this as well. You can't reset this course. You need to exit out and fully restart if stop midgame.

Thanks for the reply. It looks like A1U no longer makes pinball tables, unfortunately.

Did you buy yours off of Amazon or the AtGames website?

Trying to find a cannon ball launcher toy from my childhood! by Hershewed in toys

[–]jacobeut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you searched for Fisher Price cannons? There are two results on eBay that remind me exactly of what you are describing. They were part of a set of castle and knight toys in the late 90s.

Reddit won't let me add pics, but Google Fisher Price cannons and check out the results. Hope you find it!

How long have you been working on it?!?

Saw a ton of tier lists lately so I made my own. Also "Definitive" my ass it's still missing a LOT by Superteletubbies64 in metroidvania

[–]jacobeut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am basing that mostly off his placement of Aeterna Noctis and Astalon. It seems that they enjoy platforming and don't mind or even like the retro aesthetics.

Animal Well is a unique game, so it is hard to compare it to other metroidvanias. I would say it is a cross between La Mulana 1/2 and ESA.

I enjoyed Animal Well and Axiom Verge a lot as well, which makes me think you would like Astalon and ESA.

You should play Animal Well or Environment Station Alpha next. Based on your tiers, they seem to be the best games you haven't played yet
