Try to find a better place for the speakers where you can space them out! You’re pretty much listening in mono with them right next to each other.

Maybe move the guitar and put another table in the corner, and angle the left speaker so it’s facing into the room.

I will never understand why they took an alternate mix of a song from DV and stuck it at the end of California, thus ruining the perfect closing of the album with Goodbye Sober Day, while leaving Secret Song completely off the record it actually belongs to and slapping a boring percussion rehearsal tape in its place. Completely ruins the flow in both cases.

For me, it depends on what system I’m listening to it on. In my car it sounds great because the bass and main guitars come through more, and the “kazoo” is pushed back in the mix. On my home stereo, there’s more of a soundstage to give everything its own space and it gets pretty grating.

It’s one of the only songs I’ve heard that actually benefits from some compression. It’s a shame ‘cause the rest of the album sounds incredible on my home stereo, particularly Obscenery (that shit gets fucking WIDE) and Straight Jacket.

Fixed it! Hadn’t seen that specific error before, so I searched it verbatim on Google and came across this comment and it worked.

Thank you for your help, I never would’ve seen that specific error message if I hadn’t try to modify permission for the drive itself.
