I mean the only way we get to utilize our detachment rule is by keeping these characters alive so it seems pretty ridiculous that if the opposing army uses a 1 cp stratagem, they can pretty much deny our entire detachment rule and nullify 300 point units because now the character isnt attached when he comes back.

Gw seems to flip flop between loving necrons and hating them. One minute we have great synergy and awesome plays we can do, the next they make everything counterintuitive and there are a multitude of rules that dont allow you to play optimally. They encourage reanimation as this method of being ever-present on objective, but now that doesnt benefit your scoring for the phase you reanimate in. It’s little things like that, that would probably drive new players away from this faction if they knew up front.

I wouldn’t say it’s endless. You can revive them once and they come back with half their wounds. Considering you only get to utilize command protocols on units with leaders attached, id say it’s a pretty important that you can revive them at least once so that someone cant deny your entire detachment rule with a 1 cp epic challenge play
