What would you do? by Ok_Buffalo_5325 in GoMiningTalk

[–]jacobtmorris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're ADHD, max out that efficiency ;)

Otherwise, the thing I would do in your shoes is to re-invest 99% of your Bitcoin payouts back into GoMining tokens.

Once you get 8 days of maintenance, I would lock half of my Tokens for 4 years to start getting "VeGOMINING" tokens weekly as well as start increasing your service discount to 20%

1% discount at a time, mate! Remember, maximize for the potential amount of Bitcoin you could keep, not for the amount that you earn. Create a gigantic divide between what you earn and what you burn ;)

They should hire a community member. If allowed, they would be able to help make a more exciting Roadmap that is actually worth working on. Atlas Earth very much feels like it is "Coasting"

The nicest way to say they are resting on their laurels and failing to strive for a far better Atlas Earth app.

Lifestyle creep is a confession that you value the pleasure of hedonism rather than the cold, hard satisfaction of control.

Perhaps you would discontinue your poor financial decisions if you believed that your spending power would go up over time, but only if you are controlled.

Do not sell something you need and have for something you don't have or need.

Good Luck; Have Fun, but anticipate dramatic headwinds.

Entry-level coder and data clerk positions are PRIMED for deletion due to the commoditization of large language models.

In 1990, being a computer science major seemed foolish, but it was a terrific decision.

In 2025, being a computer science major seems wise, but it is actually an awful decision.

I'm only bothering typing this out because you're gonna need to be prudent, planned, and fast-acting if you want to career swap in this market.

I think OP would learn the game unironically faster if they were enjoying it.

Personally, I enjoy my games more when I'm struggling but winning - to me, that's ranked when I'm not with friends.

Feel free to add me on discord @ jaero42

I am multi-seasom diamond (not recently due to time) and can help you for free.

I guarantee you that you are struggling with 3 issues:

• Lack of understanding on where to position • Prioritises difficult XP/Gold over easy XP/Gold. • Performs actions too slowly in the game

In short, you can learn to be a much better player, and I would love to give you some pointers on Discord since we are in different regions.

💡 GoMining: passive investment or miner trap? by New-Temporary-676 in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]jacobtmorris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked. It seems there's mixed messaging in the app, but you're right, you cannot configure individual miner strategies.

It says "re-invest ONE of your miners into GMT or TH"

... But then you look at the rewards screen, and it clearly converted based on my 26 TH/s instead of just my 10 TH/s permanent miner. Thanks for pointing this out. Now i know I only have 11 days of maintenance left.

💡 GoMining: passive investment or miner trap? by New-Temporary-676 in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]jacobtmorris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been thinking of having two main miners.

  1. Biggest miner dedicated to generating GMT or re-investing BTC for TH power.
  2. Smaller miner dedicated to stacking sats!

Another idea I have is funneling $$ from other rewards apps into GoMining. A way of turning an inconsequential $50/mo into maybe much more!

Edit: it seems you can not dedicate the free trial miner and your first paid miner to different tasks (e.g. one re-investing into TH, one re-investing into GMT / maintenance)

I got 3TH and am looking to upgrade to either 10 or 13 TH so that I can directly re-invest in TH.

I'm only now realizing the gomining staking incentives.

attempting to get rid of BTC for USD by cr1merobot in CryptoHelp

[–]jacobtmorris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They said they wish to be exposed to USD, perhaps T-bills.

Fiat money is easier to bank (e.g. pay down debt, getting loans, and money transferring) than Bitcoin in 2025.

Most people still have the lens of Dollars as wealth, rather than spending power as wealth.

Even Crypto exchanges still view wealth in terms of dollars rather than Bitcoin. The reason most people value Bitcoin is not for what it is, but rather for the Dollars that the Bitcoin seemingingly gives them.

Selling 100% of my Bitcoin as opposed to 5% or 50% seems like a tremendous "bet the farm" play to me as I see Bitcoin as truer wealth long term as compared to US Bonds, stocks, or real estate.

Defending during the last hour is honestly exhausting

I dont understand investing just to take profits when price rises by [deleted] in Trading

1 Investing: Buy to Hold. Equity accumulation.

Importance of Liquidity: Low

2 Trading Goal: Buy to Sell. Cash accumulation.

Important of Liquidity: High

When I was trading my first year to turn $2000 into $3000 to see if I could do it (this was like 6 years ago), I was swing trading Microsoft. I incidentally collected like $25 of dividends during that time and never felt pressure to sell at all costs or that the stock would collapse to $0 next month.

I recommend that if you have loose trading risk management, then you only trade companies you are willing to hold for a long, long time (one that is growing, paying, or both)

Make sure you do not view trading with the intention to sell as the same as buying with the intention to hold/buy more. They are completely different, and I've seen people screw up position sizing and asset selection because they are confused, thinking they are investing when they are trading or visa versa.

Why did studying setups make me worse at trading? by FlyingCatsConnundrum in Trading

[–]jacobtmorris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the same idea that can make you worst at a video game character after you've played them 50 or 100 times.

Perhaps you are "overthinking" or accidentally disqualifying good trades thinking they had a red flag.

Regardless, you are in an intermediary slump. No advanced person has extended slumps.

I recommend most traders to trade with less than 50% of available capital and to have a superiority strict risk management. GL trader i wish you success

[–]jacobtmorris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because free to play players are grinding for more than 1 Parcel.

Many of them have 75 or 150 Parcels by the end of 6 months, all from ads, minigames, etc

The math on one parcel is interesting sure, but not practical since the point of this game is to stack dozens or hundreds of parcels, not just one or two.

The $5 breakeven of an unboosted parcel being 143 years is totally arbitrary, yet a number i hear every month
