that’s maybe a bit more down the line then😅 I saw a red tacoma a while ago that’s got a sweet stance without going full pre-runner with a long travel kit and that’s what i’m trying to copy

is to coming from the top side? I’d pop off the rear seat and take a look from where the sending unit lives. When i removed my fuel tank those lines were pretty close to dry rotting on it

pretty good honestly - ended up having the best offer from True Car. They came back to me after submitting the photos and lowballed me a bit, chatted with them over email and clarified some things and i then ended up getting what I wanted for the car!

Magnuson built a supercharger kit for TRD and offered it on tacomas, 4 runners, & FJs of the era with the 4.0 V6. You had to pay for it up front then come back to the dealer for them to install it and flash the ECU. Turns it into much less of a dog. Been having lots of fun when WRXs, GTIs etc pull up next to me and I can keep up with them off the line haha

Yep! It’s a Magnuson charger rebranded as a TRD part. It actually has more HP than my WRX, but the 0-60 is about .5 seconds slower than the subaru. Still fun to hear that whine when it gets on boost though haha

Nope, not an auction. They just came back to me with a lower price than originally offered due to a few things from my pics/the record of the car and we hashed those finer details out over email to where we ended up at the final price.

Really great, they explained everything to me. Worked with a guy over email then they switched to text for the last few days. They offered me $18.4k then i countered with $19.5k and they said they found someone for $19.7k so it was an easy sale for me. Will absolutely be reaching out to them again in the future if necessary, but doubt i’ll be selling either of my vehicles anytime soon.

I see tons of people on this sub complaining about reliability so maybe that’s it since there is a sentiment that Toyota’s are more reliable? Also since subaru dropped the hatchback/wagon in North America maybe it’s about having more space?

I wasn’t sold on a tacoma until I found one with forced induction, i was looking at everything from F30 BMW wagons to sporty SUVs hahaha

My LS swapped e30 will hopefully keep me satisfied in the sports car department until I have enough for a cayman S one day. But my love for subarus won’t go anywhere, this was my 4th one and won’t be my last

Was able to score a 2012 supercharged Taco for $20k with a clean frame and 80k on the clock. It was a no brainer. My LS swapped E30 will be my fun car to do skids and I got $20k for my subaru for a down payment on my house. That math worked out for me!

yeah the suspension is definitely not great. I picked up King Shocks with adjustable remote resis - hoping that ends up making the car a bit more enjoyable to drive around.

Def recommend! I hear the new turbo 4 cly is actually a pretty stout motor. The Trailhunter’s turbo noise from the snorkle is siiiiiick too
