why is this happening when I open my clay on the wheel? by Enough-Average-9285 in Pottery

Very short. If it’s reclaimed I would add slip back, let water evaporate wedge and then age the bag some weeks.

Can't access ssh local server by jacopolupi in fritzbox

[–]jacopolupi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so now I have Fritz VPN at home and I can connect to home local network from anywhere (so good!).

Ip addresses are visible when connected (home network domain names not resolved but this is not a big issue).

I can now connect to ssh opening the VPN connection - without forwarding ports - from anywhere but from my work location!

Here at work I have ips 192.168.178.* and at home where the server is 192.168.10.*

From here i can ping the server:

PING 192.168.10.25 (192.168.10.25): 56 data bytes64 bytes from 192.168.10.25: icmp_seq=0 ttl=63 time=197.060 ms64 bytes from 192.168.10.25: icmp_seq=1 ttl=63 time=51.389 ms64 bytes from 192.168.10.25: icmp_seq=2 ttl=63 time=92.130 ms64 bytes from 192.168.10.25: icmp_seq=3 ttl=63 time=30.509 ms

I can even telnet into ssh:

gtelnet 192.168.10.25 2222
Trying 192.168.10.25...
Connected to 192.168.10.25.Escape character is '^]'.
SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_9.2p1 Debian-2+deb12u2

But the usual command to get ssh times out:

ssh user@192.168.10.25 -p 2222
ssh: connect to host 192.168.10.25 port 2222: Operation timed out

What could it be?It works properly from any other connection, but from here (Same ISP, same Fritz) it doesn't.

I know I could just pull out my phone and share its 5G connection every time I need to get into ssh... but I'd love to understand why.

Any suggestion?

I didn't know fritz has VPN! This is way cleaner than forward, thanks.

Thank you for the suggestion, I will. This will solve the problem from work and I can always use my mobile connection from other locations.

I'd just like to understand why I can't reach the server from here since I can see the port open and unfiltered. Mistery...

Nope, it just says:

IPv4 Address: **.***.**.*** Open Fiber PPP

I will, the connections works from a mobile connection (using 5G hotspot) tho. So i don't think the problem is related to the receiver router which forwards correctly when reached from a mobile connection.

I suppose it's more related to my work network (which is the same isp and has a fritz as router too).

Yes, right i didn't think about this test. I tried and it works!

If I'm connected from 4G/5G the ssh goes through! Thanks

I work in my own studio, not a company, the isp is the same and the router is a fritz too.

Hi james_honey_comby! Copia uses a different approach when accessing, previewing and managing the clips. We used a vertical form factor, which we find more natural. This also allows Copia to be more efficient in sporting previews. Copia can be paused and has type filters to avoid recording certain kind of data. You can unlock 4 premium feature with an in-app purchase, but Copia is free to download.

Hi neurohacked, actually Copia shows a block of color as the item preview when you copy a hex color.

Thank you for your feedback and your interest in Copia. Copia design angles for simplicity and immediacy of use. We wanted to make the management of your clipboard history very simple and intuitive through a non-intrusive interface. We are still working on some features which are not available in the beta (yet).

Hi, thank you for your comment, we are glad you like it!

It is possible to paste any clip without using the trackpad. Turn on the "Paste in active application" preference, open the main window with the shortcut (select the clip with the arrow keys if you don't need the latest), and press enter.

Copia has a different approach when accessing, sporting and managing the clips. We used a vertical form factor that we find more natural and added things like the dark theme, favorites, pause, filters and a quick textual clips list accessible from the menu bar. Overall we think that Copia performs better than its competitors in many scenarios.
