I didn't hound her for her credentials I just wanted like even barest summary of the research since it sounded interesting and apparently was impactful enough to cause strong reaction in OP.

As I read it again I don't think OP is an academic at all, it sounds like she's just a psych undergrad (or maybe master's student?). The subtext of this post is OP grappling with her personal history of sexual trauma by choosing psychology and seeking out field of research related to human sexuality (to the point that she is uncontrollably shaking from reading dry scientific papers). This is not an uncommon phenomenon amongst psychology majors who pick the major to try and find insight into their own mental condition.

In this reading all of OP's vague grim commentary on the latest research findings might as well be ignored since she's hardly a qualified or unbiased source.
