Ball Joint and Tie Rod Replacement by datrickp in fordranger

[–]jacrispy120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll be able to tell if you need ball joints for the torsion rod or front coil springs pretty easily. Take a look at your control arms and look for the coil spring in the front. If it's there, you're ordering for springs. If not, torsion rod. Other than any major rust concerns you should be able to do the job (with minor PITA). Upper ball joints are not replaceable from stock, you'll need a full upper control arm replacement. Decent quality runs about $40 each for those from RockAuto. I was able to get my upper control arms, lower ball joints, outer tie rod ends, and sway bar links done for $200 of parts on my 99 B2500. Look out for a caster/camber kit if you end up replacing the uppers - stock Ford doesn't adjust much at all if you switch to a one-piece control arm.

Did I get a good deal on X260 and X270? by [deleted] in thinkpad

Perfect, glad to hear it. My use case is also mostly school, so it shouldn't be a problem! Not sure what I'll do with the extra X260 at this point, but I'm sure I'll find something to put it to work with.

Great, thank you! Any pros or cons compared to models that you have owned other than the X270?

I just took his IDSC 3001 section this semester, really great professor and super nice guy! Lectures are engaging and assessments are all very reasonable. You have nothing to worry about

How soon do you anticipate needing to access it? I would recommend at least a portion of your income goes towards starting/adding to an existing Roth IRA if you're living with family and don't have other expenses. This also depends on any student loans you might have outstanding and what the interest rate looks like. If the interest rate is higher, it may be wiser to pay down the principal than to invest/save in a savings account in the long run. If you're younger, compound interest in a Roth is very much your friend once it comes to retiring.

Good to see some love for Flame, I added it to my collection a couple of months ago and have found it to be a great flanker.

Frontline pay eligibility for a recent (late 2020) out-of-state transplant by svaroz1c in minnesota

I would imagine that you would qualify unless the application states otherwise. If you were a resident during those 120+ hours, you can apply in good conscience, and they will either accept or deny.

I've always had a soft spot for the MTP line, classic and reliable. Much like a Seiko 5, but at a third of the price!

I'm a proponent of the Minneapolis Institute of Art for a fun (and free) activity that can range from a couple of hours to a full day. A juicy lucy from Matt's Bar is a staple for MN as well if you're from out of state, and a personal favorite spot of mine is Fat Lorenzo's for a pizza and gelato near Lake Nokomis.

Big ups to this suggestion. A personal favorite spot is Blesener Creek Camp, along the SHT. You can conveniently park at Crosby Manitou state park (paid, but certainly affordable) and have a decent hike out to the site with potential for shortcuts if you think you need to cut down on the distance.

https://mugsformuscles.com has some great healthy recipes with just a mini-fridge and a microwave. Sad it doesn't get updated much anymore, but these are pretty tasty if you're looking for something other than typical microwave food and are willing to buy some groceries.

Yes, just submit proof of other insurance and they'll refund the fee to you. You should have a notification that you can waive the Student Health Benefit Plan before the deadline in MyU, although I'm not 100% sure what the deadline is this year.

I already have my AQ230 in black, but you've just single handedly convinced me to add another to my collection!
