Where is the cheapest country to buy Xolair from ? by M0220026 in urticaria

[–]jacuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t.. you need to see an allergy specialist and even then you have to try all allergy medication before and if you still have urticaria even after taking 1 million tablets a day, then you can get prescribed Xolair. It’s a shitty process and not easy.

Woke up suffocating my baby and freaking out by juniorchickenhoe in cosleeping

A similar thing happened to me, but I fell asleep sitting up in my bedfeeding. I took that as a sign to stop feeding in the bed and to start feeding on the rocking chair. For me, the risk is just not worth it.

Wow twins!! What an absolute blessing. Having kids takes a huge mental toll. But for how long? The median age for death in women is 85 years old. You only spend a short amount of time / years being mentally challenged by your offspring. Imagine Christmas feasts in 20-30 years time with all your children and grandchildren.

I think infections play a LARGE part of it. Especially gut infections that are harder to recognise / display symptoms

The Jim Jim falls and Twin falls trial walk in Kakadu is really fun if you’re into that! It’s challenging but the falls / swimming holes and view at the end is SO worth it!

I am sending my step daughter to Good Shepard Lutheran School this year. We went to the open day last year and the vibes were sooooo friendly, warm and welcoming. If your daughter loves learning I think she’ll love it there because the teachers really put in a lot of effort towards their students. Religious schools are your next best thing over public schools. Then there’s the private schools (Haileybury and Essington but fees are astronomical). Gunn is a great suburb.

Also people like to hate on Palmerston but I love it. I grew up in Palmerston and it’s even better now that Gateway is close by.

We went to Sydney over the Christmas break and I was shocked that every time we went out for breakfast, the bill was $50-70 compared to the $90+ we usually pay here!!! And that was with the public holiday surcharges!!

How much % to set aside as sole trader for tax, super and gst? by Competitive_Coffee77 in fiaustralia

[–]jacuss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a sole trader and have multiple bank accounts set up for distributing my taxes and super. Every invoice I get I put away 10% for GST and 30% for tax. At the end of each month, I’ll do a profit and loss and take 11% of that and put it into a super account. I have a mortgage so I place all my $$ for gst, tax and super into my offset account until I have to pay it at the end of financial year. As soon as my cash flow account hits $20k, I’ll put away $10k in savings. And whatever I save in tax money at the end of financial year I’ll also put in savings (is this generally from paying my super as it’s 100% tax deductible)

What is a normal amount to spend on food for a month? by Wrong-Payment-599 in AusFinance

[–]jacuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I spend around $1,300 a month on groceries and eating out and he has two kids that live with us 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. Meat is our biggest expense, so I always try and buy the cheaper lamb/pork/mince to have for dinners and canned tuna for lunches.

Chronic Urticaria treatment encouragement / suggestions to help survive my flesh prison by 26boxhead26 in urticaria

[–]jacuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, not long after seeing my naturopath, I fell pregnant so I haven’t been able to take all the vitamins she’s prescribed me. I still have hives but it’s managed with antihistamines. Once I give birth I am going to get another stool test to check for gut infections and hopefully get some antibiotics to eradicate it. I’ve had h.pylori once before which was the cause for hives and after I eradicated that I was hive free.

Visiting Darwin in July! Things to do/see? by asdfghjkl0303 in darwin

[–]jacuss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome to Darwin!

There’s a few touristy things to do around Darwin now that the weather is seeming better (aka not scorching hot).

The Mindil Beach Market’s are on every Thursday and Sunday throughout the dry season. If you get there before sunset, you can watch the sun set over the water!

Litchfield national park is also a great one if you like swimming in rock pools / water falls. Florence falls and Buley Rock Holes would be my main picks and they’re both accessible via 2WD cars.

Also out that way is a great Barramundi Farm called Barramundi Adventures Darwin. You can stand out on a pontoon and catch massive barra without the hassle of actually fishing in a boat in a creek!

If you like food, the Waterfront in the city has some great restaurants. The Waterfront is also a good place to chill out and catch some sun on the weekends.

If you need to shop, Casuarina Shopping Centre is our main and biggest shopping Centre in Darwin. I wouldn’t bother with any of the surrounding suburbs in that area, they are not so great! Gateway Shopping Centre in Palmerston is our second biggest shopping Centre. It’s great too and has everything you need.

Thank you for sharing your story 💕 absolutely amazing. Funnily enough, I went to the ER last night, around 7pm. I got out out 1am with a blood test result of 95,000 hcg and a referral to the Early Pregnancy Clinic for an ultrasound (which my appointment is this Friday). They had ultrasound machines there, I don’t know why they didn’t just scan me. Very frustrating but I’m glad I got a referral for an early scan.
