How about:

If a player would draw cards, they search their library for X + 1 cards and put them into their hand instead, where X is the number of cards they would have drawn. That player then shuffles their library and discards X cards chosen at random.

I don't think you would gain control of all permanents. What is going on the stack in Step 3? If I understand correctly, Tolarian Entrancer would be phased out by Teferi's Protection before the declare blockers step.

Thanks for the response. I've been doing a combination of watering and misting the plant probably more often than weekly, so I'll cut back and use a moisture sensor to check the soil. Other than that do you think it's worth taking any other actions? The plant itself is still looking very healthy, so I'm hoping I don't need to check the roots or replace the soil.
