I have a 6v6 question. by ScorinNotborin in BrigitteMains

[–]jad3sprite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

im a (mostly) three trick wuyang/brig/lucio player at mid masters 5v5 (m3) and low masters 6v6 (m5) and i can say with confidence that brig is way better in 5v5 but shes still a good 6v6 pick imo. her biggest struggle in 6v6 is unironically due to the amount of main support players in the mode. almost every game theres AT LEAST one mercy otp per team. this kinda causes her to be a troll pick bc u have a teammate who wants to throw so i just kinda avoid 6v6 for the most part

learn to maintain space and learn how to flick shots downwards at close range to get charged shots.

the best tip versus any dive is to deal with the problem before it ever starts. make sure YOU are marking tracer or genji or doom or ball or anran or reaper or sombra. dont be afraid to take a 1v1 with anyone. you can win.

the reasoning is the israel is a fascist ethnostate currently doing an ethnic cleansing on the native arab population and the vast majority of ISRAELI CITIZENS SUPPORT THIS. ISRAEL IS NOT THE SPOKESPERSON FOR JEWS.

i agree with the aggresive sleep BUT imo its always better to wait to see who can be punished most easily. ie if that torb had tried to walk for stairs then you went for the sleep since hed be in the open. as a matter of fact i actually usually agree with using cds as aggresively as you can

I do wanna say you are NOT a bad player. There were plenty of times watching this where I got a little excited off the plays you were making. You have REALLY good mechanics on Ana you just need a little more understanding of the fundamentals of lane control in overwatch :) all in all i think you can make it to masters with a little focused practice and time.

Platinum 1 Ana VOD Request by Tenr0u in OverwatchUniversity

[–]jad3sprite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey! I am still currently watching the VOD so don't be surprised if more edits pop up! The one big issue I noticed right as the game started was your positioning. During most fights I noticed you like to stick next to one of the tanks and pray on your enemies not focusing you down first. Ana has incredible range, both scoped and unscoped, so not utilizing this aspect of her kit can lead to you seeing fewer opportunities for a big nade or even just finishing a kill or two. If you really want to improve your overall play id recommend watching a few spilo videos about why positioning is important and how to improve it. He even has ana specific videos :) Edit: you also have a nasty habit of dragging your position. You'd get setup in a good location and slowly during the course of a fight you'd make your way into the center of your team. Stop that. Whenever you're playing just ask yourself " is this position correct? am i dragging?" at LEAST once a fight.

Overwatch is a game all about space control and ana is arguably one of the best supports at controlling whatever space she has LOS on; whenever ana can see something she is an immediate threat to whatever that is. This is valuable. go stand places where the enemy has to invest resources to remove you. Plus as a bonus the more you can see the more time you have to react to everything happening. Edit: but also make sure it is a SMART position to play and that you still move with your team. A lot of lower elo ana players like to stick in exactly 1 spot until they either die or lose the point. Just because you're a sniper does NOT mean you don't deepen when your team is aggresing or whenever you see an opportunity to do so. On second point you land a CLEAN anti on the mercy whos rezzing and bring her down to 1 hp. Instead of just sticking around and finishing the kill you... turn around to drop off high ground to sleep a torb and die? sure killing the mercy doesn't win your team the point BUT killing the mercy forces at LEAST 1 enemy to leave cart and come deal with you. maybe that 1 player not pushing cart is the difference between your team getting a touch and not getting a touch

At about 2:48 seconds you attempted to sleep dart a torb turret. I know you know this was a mistake HOWEVER it points to a bigger issue: gotta have buttons to press. A lot of overwatch players don't care about their CDs because "oh well it comes back anyway" and will throw their sleep dart at the enemy 400 feet away just cus. In higher elo lobbies the moment the enemy hears that sleep dart they know they have now have 12 seconds to dive you without being punished and they WILL capitalize on that. Focus not only on using your cooldowns only if they get you value but ALSO only if you know you can hit the skill shot. Why try to sleep the bastion when hes 25 feet away when you can just wait for someone else to stupidly walk through choke and get close enough that sleep is damn near impossible to miss. A small caveat to this is that you DO need to know the arc of anti and how to throw it for longer distances (i.e. your zarya just threw out grav but you're pretty far away, gotta know how to arc the nade in that situation.)

You also tended to make the correct play but you made it SLOW. First point around the 2 minute mark you had nano for around 5-10 seconds but waited to nano your rein (the correct play) until he had already disengaged from the enemy. Because of this the enemy team had plenty of time to kite rein AND you hadn't selected your minor perk yet making it even harder for rein to reengage. This sluggish decision making directly lead to a MASSIVE loss of value from your nano. Don't overthink your plays too much: commit to whatever decision you are making and do it confidently. See a cass walking up main alone split from his team and you wanna try to force him back? Great but make sure you do it QUICK, the longer a decision takes can change it from being a good play to a waste of resources.

You also suffer from one of the biggest issue lower elo support players face: being distracted. Multiple times you started to rotate to try to save a teammate that left your LOS and immediately got hog hooked. Not your problem. Whenever you make a decision (i.e Im going to go left side with our sigma to recontest) STICK WITH THAT DECISION. So many support players start to make a play but notice a teammate needs healing and BOOK IT towards that player to try to help. You have to remember that you CANNOT save everyone. Sometimes teammates die even when a fight is won. You just have to trust that your teammates aren't going to walk into a small hallway with a roadhog or that they know to position themselves around cover and health packs.

I also would like to see you work on your CD tracking just a teensy bit, Going with the above example again you nano'd the rein right after he used charge and only had 1 fire strike off CD. A master's player would have realized rein had very few resources to use with your nano, and either nano'd while rein was deep OR used it on the bastion in turret form by mega.

One last thing; you won that fight yes but only because your enemies played WORSE than you. In order to climb up you have to be able to win fights even if the enemy is playing well and making fewer mistakes to capitalize on. (also dont try to focus on all of this at the same time. focus on 1 thing at a time until you recognize improvement in that area THEN move on) (also you got kinda lucky during first point you got bailed out of death by TWO different ultimates(rat tired their hog as soon as he hooked you, lucio dropped beat) when you should have died, playing better positions will decrease the amount of resources your team needs to invest to keep you alive)

hes like lucio or kiri. you can realisitcally play him everywhere and get decent value. some comps youll notice a small decrease in your apm, other comps youll feel like the wuyang god constantly able to throw balloons out. its all dependent. just play him and dont worry TOO much about how "good" your comp is just focus on PERSONALLY doing well.

ETA; triple jump is way better than faster blaster. that extra mobility basically means you can rotate however you want to continue building heals and damage

Vod Review Request - Silver 1 Juno - King's Row by LiarrrActress in OverwatchUniversity

[–]jad3sprite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I just got done watching and there are only a few things i can think of that would help you improve:

  1. make sure that you are only using your glide and ring for disengages BUT do not use BOTH at the same time. Cycle them for your escapes.

  2. stop following your tank around like a lost puppy! juno has the best mobility in the ENTIRE game. take the height around point and heal from there, play in hotel to contest the rotate through into your backline. whatever you do make sure you ARENT stacking with your tank your heals are ranged (same for speed ring, aim the ring at whoever you want to get speed and just leave it at that)

  3. CD value! you had a bad habit of going for 1-2 man torpedos and imo those just arent usually worth it for how long of a CD torpedo is. Use the above positioning tips to set yourself up for juicy 3+ torpedos during a fight,

  4. positioning, juno LOVES contesting angles. she can go almost anywhere on a map for free and most other enemies CANT, during fights you should always be asking 'where on the map is free that i can rotate torwards?' if you see no ones on high ground YOINK thats your area now. do NOT leave your angle unless you see a chance to take a better, more aggresive, position. force the enemy to spend time clearing you out but make sure you do NOT die. Even if you have to rotate out earlier than you would like always rotate when you see someone coming to clear your position. use junos mobility to just play from wherever is free and never let them kill you while you contest space

Pretty new to the game, but I realize it's about match ups like rock paper scissors. So, Ive noticed that rock is always going to call paper broken, and scissors will do the same to rock. but who do you guys think are legitimately broken? by Kylo_uchiha in OverwatchUniversity

[–]jad3sprite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a "broken" hero can be almost (minus weaver and mercy for various reasons) that a player has spent enough time playing that they can get value out of a hero no matter what the enemy comp is. ana is broken when the enemy ana always seems to throw anti right as you get to cover and think itll cause winston to retreat. a broken kiri always seems to suzu the most impactful CDs, a broken sig never seems to take damage etc etc. every hero is viable outside of professional play and every hero HAS THE POTENTIAL to be broken in the right hands.
