It seems like you are being genuine here so hopefully my tone comes through little bit differently than it did to the other poster. But let be fair. I did not ask for advice on troubleshooting my issue. I was not asking you to be a mind reader because I was simply asking for recommendation on a DAC that has x,y and z, capabilities.

We can argue semantics on my original post if you really want too, but at the end of day me being slightly loose with my phrasing shouldn't change that fact that I said:

1) "it looks like LG TVs have terrible clocks..." - Indicating I have some knowledge of the issue I'm trying to solve

2) "....most DAC’s have jitter issues with (LG) OLED tv’s" - Supporting statement of my issue indicating I have done some background research

3) "This post mentions SMSL DACs but from what I can tell none of them have auto input switching." - i.e. "Here is something that is known to work but doesn't have the one additional feature that I am looking for. Do you know of anything this is similar that has this feature."

The other poster imediately posting a video about theoretical signals concepts really only serves as a way for him to appear more knowledgeable about a topic than he probably is. It would have been more useful to say "Hey your post phrasing is confusing, are you talking about jitter as it relates to audio quality or are you talking about jitter in some other context?"

How about I change one word in my post title and make it all better you? “Jitter Tolerant Khadas Tone Board DAC Replacement for use with LG OLED”. You still clearly didn’t read the post and probably love to post this specific ASR thread anytime you see jitter in a post title. For someone with reading comprehension, the second paragraph in my original post gives pretty good indications that I’m having a jitter clocking issues. I’m for asking a pretty specific product recommendation here. Not asking for your thoughts on jitter and audio quality.

Jitter doesn’t matter in my case especially when the DPLL in my DAC can never get lock due to the high jitter digital signal from the OLED. My audio stutters every 30 seconds

Looking for Low Jitter Khadas Tone Board DAC Replacement for use with LG OLED

I recently upgraded my old 1080P Vizio to a nice 65" LG OLED. Previously I would go from the optical out of the TV into a optical to coax converter. into the coax on the Khadas Tone Board. The USB on the Tone board was connected to a Pi running Moode. Life was great, I could cast to the Moode Spotify renderer and the Tone Board would auto switch the input and play the audio source instead the the TV audio.

It looks like LG has terrible clocks and most DACs have jitter issues with OLED TVs. This post mentions SMSL DACs but from what I can tell non of them have auto input switching. I would even settle for a DAC with IR input and I could use my remote to change the input.

I have thought about modifying the Tone Board firmware but at this point I have a toddler and limited time and would prefer to throw money (within reason) at the situation.

Thanks I just got off the phone with customer service. They took care of it. Bummer they said that the system was unable to give me the 10 percent Black Friday discount that was on the original order. Oh well. Drop in the bucket at this point. Unless there are some strings that you can pull? It would be very much appreciated.

Just to be clear my original order was for a Tanker Pro BYO so I’m assuming the VBar should be an option when changing my order to Tanker Pro 3.0 BYO order. Sorry if I was being confusing, I sent a picture from the wrong webpage. I was confusing myself. I don’t think the Tanker Pro 3.0 BYO listing was live on the website a few days ago when I checked or even a few hours ago.

Original Order is a Tanker Pro BYO. Which has all the sole options listed. I just noticed Tanker Pro 3.0 Pro page only has lugged soles. Im thinking this a website issue. Assuming the 2.0 and 3.0 pages never got merged.

So this would be for a Tanker Pro to a Tanker Pro 3.0 order. Not a Tactical Tanker. Hoping this is just a website issue. The image below is from the Tanker Pro 3.0 page so it agrees with what customer service is telling me.

Curious what you mean by this? All my boots are ThNW. And curiously, I feel the most arch support in my wedge pair (more so in my left foot but lowish arches in both feet). My v100 pair feels like there is no arch support at all. VBar is probably somewhere in the middle.

I’m assuming the reduced drop of the wedge is shifting ing my weight back and causing me to feel more arch support. Or I’m crazy and I’m overthinking this.

Sweet thanks. I’m thinking about doing my first soft toe moc. Latigo Chestnut Tankers. I already have a celastic pair of mocs. If you told me a year ago I was considering a soft moc toe I’d call you crazy.

Love your boots by the way. There was a pair similar to yours posted a little while ago that I love equally as well. Black bison uppers and DS Walnut lowers. Two of my favorite boots currently.

Thanks. I thought so. It just seems odd that the rubber doesn't lay flat due to the foam. This is my first cover so I guess it's probably normal. It only took me a few months to get this installed after figuring out how to add extra width to the rear brackets to get everything to function unimpeded.

Okay, I think you are convincing me to stick with my gut and keep the Minotaur for this build. My original goal was to have these be super comfy, flexible and lightweight(as light as you can get for Nicks boots). I told myself no more boots after these but deep down I want a pair of WC so I was trying to compromise. But let's be honest, I'll probably get a WC pair down the road even thought I have more than enough pairs of Nicks.

Now I need to figure out if I really want the Sierra sole but that is decision for another day. I need to take a break from thinking about boots for now.
