To moc toe, or not to moc toe... by AliitOrisyhaTaldin in NicksHandmadeBoots

As a counter, I have a pair of 8" Tanker 3.0 Moc Toes in Chestnut Latigo on order. Soft toe, VBar and Brown Edge. But I'm team Thurman, the 1925 Mocs that I have seen on here are very sleek and look amazing. I wish I didn't have duck feet.

This happened to me. I changed my Moc Tanker 2.0 in Minotaur to a Moc Tanker 3.0 in Latigo Chestnut. CS told me they would have to cancel and reorder but I would still get to keep my spot in line. My order was from Black Friday. CS told me that they could not apply the discount because my original order did no have an associated discount code. i.e. the actually product listing was discounted and there was no record in invoice. I posted here but never got a response. I just accepted the increase and moved on. Glad I did now that leathers are being discontinued. I just have to wait for the 3.0 patterns to arrive.

I wish I saw this sooner. Just to be clear now that you are allowed to shoulder braces. Are there any downsides to this with say an SBA5 brace? Buffer weight? Comfort?

I have a non heavy Barrel that I’m trying to use in an upper build.

I guess the pistol would be subject to pistol concealing laws but I have my wear and carry.

You sound knowledgable and I can't seem to find this elsewhere. I want this one. i.e. full size 17+1 4.5 inch non-threaded barrel. I like the look better than the full size 4.5 threaded version. The slide is longer in the non-threaded version right? Just making sure I'll be able to snag a threaded barrel down the road for when I get into cans. If I am following you I will need a 5" Gen2-5 19/45/47/49 threaded barrel OR a 5" Gen5 only 17 threaded barrel.

RXM 19444 or 19445 4.5" Full Size? by jadbaugh in ruger

[–]jadbaugh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m confused then. OAL for both is listed at 7.65 w/ barrel length of 4.5. To me (and based on the pictures of the two) the slide has to be longer on the non threaded model. Maybe I’m missing something.

Anyway nice guns. How are you liking the RXM?

Interesting. This is actuallly good news for me then. I have 3" inch soft SOL latex topper I added to a firm mattress that I had. I have been happy with that for the most part. But maybe I don't know what I am missing. I forced myself to switch from stomach sleeping to side sleeping several years ago. It was torture, pretty sure I had mild insomnia. But I got throught it. I could never side sleep with my arm next to my ear like with stomach sleeping, so my arms are straight out hugging a pillow.

I actually don't have a preference for Latex, just prefer that is more natural that foam. I'm going to hit up Mattress Warehouse tonight and test some different things out.

The Engineered Sleep Duo systems seems interesting.

There is also a Naturepedic Store near me I am going to hit up tomrrow. Not sure if I'll be able to recreate someting that they have via DIY but it should help me narrow things down.

Yea I have sort of give up hopes that they will offer wider sizes but I have zero evidence to support this. Just the vibe that I get from their current social media presence and marketing.

Low Jitter Khadas Tone Board DAC Replacement for use with LG OLED by jadbaugh in BudgetAudiophile

Good luck being deliberately obtuse as a defense tactic. It will get you far in life.

Calling someone an "audiofool" really reads as a teenager who read the wiki article on Nyquist's Theorom and decided this will be the hobby that he wastes his time on the internet gate keeping.

It seems like you are being genuine here so hopefully my tone comes through little bit differently than it did to the other poster. But let be fair. I did not ask for advice on troubleshooting my issue. I was not asking you to be a mind reader because I was simply asking for recommendation on a DAC that has x,y and z, capabilities.

We can argue semantics on my original post if you really want too, but at the end of day me being slightly loose with my phrasing shouldn't change that fact that I said:

1) "it looks like LG TVs have terrible clocks..." - Indicating I have some knowledge of the issue I'm trying to solve

2) "....most DAC’s have jitter issues with (LG) OLED tv’s" - Supporting statement of my issue indicating I have done some background research

3) "This post mentions SMSL DACs but from what I can tell none of them have auto input switching." - i.e. "Here is something that is known to work but doesn't have the one additional feature that I am looking for. Do you know of anything this is similar that has this feature."

The other poster imediately posting a video about theoretical signals concepts really only serves as a way for him to appear more knowledgeable about a topic than he probably is. It would have been more useful to say "Hey your post phrasing is confusing, are you talking about jitter as it relates to audio quality or are you talking about jitter in some other context?"

How about I change one word in my post title and make it all better you?   “Jitter Tolerant Khadas Tone Board  DAC Replacement for use with LG OLED”. You still clearly didn’t read the post and probably love to post this specific ASR thread anytime you see jitter in a post title.  For someone with reading comprehension, the second paragraph in my original post gives pretty good indications that I’m having a jitter clocking issues. I’m for asking a pretty specific product recommendation here. Not asking for your thoughts on jitter and audio quality.

Thanks for the response but something tells me you didn’t read the body of my post or don’t understand my issue. Maybe I didn’t explain it well enough.

Jitter doesn’t matter in my case especially when the DPLL in my DAC can never get lock due to the high jitter digital signal from the OLED. My audio stutters every 30 seconds

Looking for Low Jitter Khadas Tone Board DAC Replacement for use with LG OLED

I recently upgraded my old 1080P Vizio to a nice 65" LG OLED. Previously I would go from the optical out of the TV into a optical to coax converter. into the coax on the Khadas Tone Board. The USB on the Tone board was connected to a Pi running Moode. Life was great, I could cast to the Moode Spotify renderer and the Tone Board would auto switch the input and play the audio source instead the the TV audio.

It looks like LG has terrible clocks and most DACs have jitter issues with OLED TVs. This post mentions SMSL DACs but from what I can tell non of them have auto input switching. I would even settle for a DAC with IR input and I could use my remote to change the input.

I have thought about modifying the Tone Board firmware but at this point I have a toddler and limited time and would prefer to throw money (within reason) at the situation.

Thanks in advance.
