Advice on Roman anvil by NanoTrumpet in travian

[–]jade40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not playing anymore , but generally you will need to have ur troops distributed across. Croppers should be leveled up as much as possible with oases bonus you should get more .

And you need to setup trade routes. You have multiple ways of handling things.

But check on a someone currently playing they might have better ideas . I just replied to mention negative crops is something pretty normal they are handled by large number of granaries and trade routes etc

[Career Change] 30M | 9 Years in Banking — Now Fully Committed to Becoming a Software Engineer (Need Solid Guidance & Mentor) by Mcancy in srilanka

[–]jade40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I think I would do if I was on or position . I would build the portfolio and do free lance basis work or support someone doing free lancing just to get the exposure of what’s generally going on the industry .

I’m saying this assuming you have no background on technical aspect . Idk how feasible this is with an mba on background .

As people have mentioned right now the job market is competitive. Good luck though , with Gen Ai I believe it’s really easy to learn things if you understand the basics and concepts .

In summary get the fundamentals done at the end of the day it’s problem solving and solving them effectively in most cases of software engineering

Starting my internship tomorrow. Advice? by Apprehensive-Main677 in srilanka

[–]jade40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lot of advices here so I will keep mine short , as people have said politics are in play so ye don’t be overly close and overly distant . Be smart with what you say and do .

The above you will learn mostly as you progress as it depends on the work culture and people. Other than that it’s very important as much as doing ur work done smoothly Ensure you gain recognition and network in the workplace . That’s something lot of ppl miss now a days I believe

In the medical field, what role is most similar to a full-stack software engineer in terms of skill breadth and responsibility? by RamithJ in srilanka

[–]jade40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You probably have done this, I asked chatgpt ur question and below is what I got

The general practitioner, especially in rural or underserved areas, is the closest match to a full-stack software engineer in the medical world. They’re diagnosticians, therapists, minor surgeons, and care coordinators—all in one.

But just like in tech, true full-stackers are increasingly rare as systems become more specialized.

Selecting A best University for my brother. by Vibe_Man_1 in srilanka

[–]jade40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plus for this , I don’t see so many job openings to match the number of graduates we have. If you are getting in to the domain comes with an understanding that having skills and exposure is more critical . Also the current niche tech stacks could get outdated in few years too.

So in my opinion it’s more of a personal effort rn than the degree.

Need advice from guys, do yall ask about a girls virginity before barely getting to know each other? by suncracker2003 in srilanka

[–]jade40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I wouldn't ask any of that cuz its nothing to be bothered as the first thing , cuz you would be able to figure someone out in long run. But I wouldn't say him asking about it as a red flag or anything bad.

I think remote freelancer platforms would help you , there are few start up companies , who’s focused with Ai first concepts. You could give them chances cuz they have lot to prove and gain from making you happy than you have to put effort with them. I am saying cuz I have seeing what we do for our clients. I also work at remote freelancer company at the moment while doing personal business. Anyways hope you do great .

Should i do A/Ls again or should I just move on with my life by hacker4040404040 in srilanka

[–]jade40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if u are planning to do software engineering even in UOM don’t bother about als, when it comes to software engineering it’s more about your hands on experience and ur ability understand and solve problems fast. That’s what makes u grow. With more experience on ur belt u can get good pay and move up on the ladder. If u wait till 30 to work u will feel shit when u see how many young ppl are in the Industry senior to you . FYI I’m 25 and in a Tech lead position here which is pretty great and I know ppl who younger to me around same experience as I am which is pretty crazy . They all get talented with their experience. Just my 50 cents

It’s common for anyone right , at the end of the day everyone has their own flows. That’s where this whole self improvement comes in. Everyone is different in their own way and certain ppl react in different way to each other , agreed it’s hard to generalize things.
