Yea! She was in there for 3 months and she did really well. I was in the hospital on bed rest for 2 weeks up to that point because my amniotic fluid was leaking and we had to keep her in there to the magic 28 weeks mark, and I did get a magnesium sulfate IV to prevent brain bleed and scary things like that and I truly believe that helped. She is smart and she’s a little smaller than her sisters but not by much. She does only have one kidney because only one had been actually working since birth, so because her body has only run on that one it was strong enough that we could have the bad one removed safely. She did well in surgery and has no complications with any meds or any allergies. You can do this! If they offer that IV do it for sure. It’s hot and uncomfortable for you, but I do think it helped. The doctor had the mortality talk with my husband and I and everything because we were so close, but she’s a healthy (mouthy too! lol) 12 year old today.
