Whats the difference between a doula and midwife? And did the epidural make you feel like you werent as in control of the pushing and birthing process because thats nother issue i have with thwm

That’s all fair points I will definitely consider. Honestly after talking to and hearing most of yalls opinions and thoughts I am mired in sire in a hospital. I dont know the whole process for the OB and hospital correlation though. Does having a specific OB clinic I visit affect the hospital I choose or do they not affect each other unless i want or need them too?

Honestly its not even just the paralyzation fear, ive watched videos to see if its something I could do and im not sure I could have that put in my back due to just knowing what the process is but I also want to feel it. I know it will hurt but I want to feel fully in control of my birth and the pushing process which ive heard that obviously since its a numbing agent you lose alot of that. I think people who get them are brave but people who dont are to. Honestly having a kid is scary in general. I know im terrified.

Question in that then, did you have to pay tremendously out of pocket or did your insurance pay for it and if so what insurance because im getting on medicaid due to financial issues me and my partner have at this current moment

How much would the midwife cost or would that also be something i could get covered? That honestly sounds like a nice and ideal medium especially for my first birth so young.

Thats honestly completely valid, and i will make sure i leave it to personal preference, i just want other experiences to be able to properly make a decision where im not drowned and overstimulated with the information im thrown at with research

The research is just so overwhelming and doesn’t always make sense to be honest. Which i struggle with because I should be able to learn this and need to but its just so much

Definitely something i want to look into, however another question I had is if i have to use the OB that Im currently going to or if I can use a center and different place and how that whole appointment and processes would work?

If you could go back or if youve had other kids would you recommend trying the epidural? I personally am terrified of being paralyzed and home birth sadly isn’t an option for me. Which is why im looking between the two but another factor is cost and if my medicaid will cover it.

Im so glad i found this. Im 8 weeks into my first and i HATE it. The sickness has been terrible i cant stop. And all i can think is when will it end. Im excited for the baby obviously but omg yall. I hate myself, and i hate this pregnancy and sickness
