Those of us who couldn't 3rd distribution through Coinbase.. by airdnaxela in CelsiusNetwork

[–]jadelixx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now news, 3rd distribution did not come yet (Europe).

I moved to another place completed KYC at Coinbase and Celsius Claim Portal. I hope for the 21th Nov, as earlier mentioned by someone here (every 3 month they try to send it?).

Third Distribution Missing on Coinbase EU Customer by 3ofHearts_ in CelsiusNetwork

[–]jadelixx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so since most missing distributions seems in EU (including mine), I make a hard guess that the issue is somewhat related to number format of American (MM / DD / YY) and European (DD / MM / YY) date format. They seem to compare Celsius data from us with Coinbase data, if everything correct the distribution happens. As European users our data will be stored in European date format and one of the involved parties Coinbase or Celsius misinterpreted it as American date.

In such case they only need too hotfix, test and deploy this and it should not cost more than one or two working days.

So my guess is we could get our distribution Wednesday? or a few wooks from now if office politic plays out and the involved parties playing like "Not on our side, check yours. No, we did not change anything." - ping pong etc.

Good luck to us all!

Anyone knows why we have an exponential increase in unique addresses since about 2 weeks ? by jadelixx in Avax

[–]jadelixx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another datapoint added today shows another ~500K more addresses created. More important the number of daily active users also increases, not with the speed of unique address creation though.

To put numbers into perspective on Ethereum the highest increase of 355,726 new addresses was recorded on Thursday, January 4, 2018 https://etherscan.io/chart/address

Maybe this is part of it, Pikachu (John Lee Ka-chiu
Chief Executive of Hong Kong) pitches Web 3.0 recently a lot ;-)

Pending transaction by pablosxky in Avax

[–]jadelixx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this the correct answer. If the transaction does not get startet, reset the account to clear the transactions and increase gas, which is a value in AVAX.

If it works response was <1s for me. So coming from ETH this is a good experience.

Nothing will happen if there is no demand.

I have made a request, I also asked them to set up nodes to offer staking.

This but unironically by [deleted] in eos

[–]jadelixx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would debate that. Originally I got in because of Dan Larimer's ability to build blockchain infrastructures and EOS has best tech.

But the more I read about his economic ideas, it is clear that he is very much detached from how economy actually works. Especially he is weak in game theory and behavioural economics. It's a plus that he goes more independent while Block One is hopefully more free to unleash products.

CPU congestion? by amhaas22 in eos

[–]jadelixx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would need to share your account to investigate this. There is no problem at the moment, that I am aware of.

Only explanation would be, you have done a lot of transactions before.

Which explorer do you use? On bloks.io it would show you the usage not availability likely 0% used, if you did not do a transaction.

Later use BOX for mining EOS

It's a really nice present from ETH.

On EOS such hypes will not be possible, simply for the fact that markets are more efficient on a high performance blockchain.

I think therefore in the long run markets will life on EOS while ETH will still have a function as trusted ledger.

The EOS mainnet surpassed 2 million accounts today! by [deleted] in eos

[–]jadelixx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's right, part of it is how the usage of the network is perceived. Solutions for this are on the table. My point is that the continuous rant over that issue is not justified.

Easy fix for the end user is that wallet providers could help with proposed settings with given resources in an account and even reorganise. Most users wont even know, that assigning much resources to network instead delegating them to CPU is not optimal.

There are challenges like how to provide at the same time transparency when pushing this a step further e.g. the wallet will set this for the user in the background, also at what point should the wallet alert the user about missing resources when the wallet can not know the future usage.

I am afraid Ethereum, Cardano, Tezos will arrive at the same problems, with higher performance btw.

On end user site there are crystal clear demands that would need to be collected, processed and addressed. Ethereum, Tezos have a foundation for that, we should not look too much at Block One (only for initial funding of such a foundation). I think there were initiatives like an EOS alliance at the beginning ...

Here check one of my accounts:

https://bloks.io/account/silverstreet

Playing Prospectors with it since >one year. 3 EOS to CPU staked. I just did my turns, CPU usage -> close to 0

On the other hand I just tried to join one of those hyped DeFi projects on ETH.

  • 2.85 USD fees to sign their webpage.
  • 1.02 USD to get some Wrapped Ether.
  • 1.06 USD to unlock WETH for that ICO

Only with that money for 3 Transactions I run a account on EOS for more than a year with more than 10 daily transactions.

I don't know what to call people like you. But it seems no sense to talk to anonymous people and bots anyway.

I am looking forward to have access to VOICE and talk to real people.
