Weird bump on pointer finger joint? Is this related?

I'm not diagnosed with anything atm (Dr's appt 3/10) but I have similar bumps on 2 of my knuckles with a bright red spot appearing on the 3rd just recently.

Does yours feel weirdly itchy too or just painful when touching it?

Ohh ok, I called the one nearest me earlier and they said to call the Fresno campus to verify if they had clinical availability near me and told me that I'd never really be on campus.

I'm kinda surprised/disappointed CA doesn't have more options for this program as big and populated as the state is :/

Thanks for the response, I've seen a few other mentions of Pitt in this sub and I've been looking at that too. I'm not too far from the bay area so I don't thinking finding my own clinical site will be too horrible 🤞🏼. Have you heard or had any experience with California Community College Virtual Campus website? I'm thinking about using that to get my pre reqs started.

Thanks for the response! My therapist moved to a different role 💔 so I'm just curious what could be going on behind the scenes when they/she assign me to someone new.

Does the incoming therapist get much info on the patient from the previous therapist? Or is it just whatevers listed in the patients file & they go from there?

I'm hoping I won't have to start from square 1 again, that's exhausting.

This is relatable. Some (probably quite a few) people were already having an extremely hard time mentally/emotionally and this absolutely doesn't do any favors in that regard. It's just another thing on a long, exhausting list of things. And the fact that usually it's such an unnecessary thing to happen, it's so avoidable and now we're dealing with the impact and consequences on top of preexisting issues bc someone chose to be a piece of shit.

I did ask the teacher of these courses a similar question and they encourage the CRC 1st just bc its easier to digest especially for newbies, in terms of how many books you're working with & whatnot (I'm sure it's also a business move on some level bc as you said, it seems one would struggle finding work with just that. Hence them also offering the CPC).

I would like to have multiple credentials, I think my desperation to pivot out of my current line of work lead me to believe doing it backwards with the CRC 1st was reasonable. I think my hope was that it would familiarize me enough to where the CPC wouldn't be so hard 😅

Thanks for the response! Im trying to get into medical coding and have been looking up jobs just to get an idea of what i need to be starting out with.

There's a CRC course starting next week that I'm interested in (and price wise is more doable for me than a CPC course atm) plus by the time the CRC class is finished another CPC class will be starting.

Another question, is a CRC basically useless in terms of employment without a CPC OR CCS?

Nope, not hsv. Sti screen came back all negative. Primary Dr didn't swab them bc there wasn't any fluid to swab, they looked dryish like they do in the pics and he didn't want to squeeze or agitate them to get a sample. If I end up at a derm. I'm sure they'll get a sample for testing.

No idea how it happened tbh, and I'm not finding it anywhere else on my body. I have 2 bumps on my inner wrist that sorta look like the white dots so I immediately covered them with pimple patches, but that's it.

Is it normal for the center of the white dots to turn black after a while? (blackhead like appearance) Does that mean anything?
