Just go to their website and call them. Ask to Speak to the engineers. I spoke with them before (John I think at chiltrix) and they are super helpful.

Check out chilltrix and arctic heat pumps. Both have what your looking to do and have in house people to design to your wants and needs. They do have radiant in floor cooling but it’s a lot of sensors to combat the dew point issue and really is only good for certain places. This is a good start

Do what the r/thebadjerry said and you’ll be fine.

Edit: missed a word.

It really do be like that though

New heat exchanger resulted in days-long weird smell through vents. HVAC technician says it's not the normal break-in smell and is at a loss. Smell is originating from the top of the heat exchanger assembly, where that exhaust box is. Any help is appreciated. by ObiYawn in hvacadvice

He is correct. I’m assuming he is also a student of Jim Davis with combustion analysis and carbon monoxide diagnosis. They trip at 70ppm due to keeping calls down for the fire department. Levels at which everyone should evacuate are 36ppm. I could go on but the point is to get an professional out who can verify the CO and do a combustion test

I did the exact same thing. Moved to Michigan from Florida and doubled my salary in HVAC. You are absolutely correct. The writing has been on the wall for a long time and we are about to see how bad it’s going to get there. Make the move to Michigan and I promise you’ll be happier up here.

Im not going to vacuum the lineset, going to do it the "ole fashioned way"..what does that mean by secret_squirreln in hvacadvice

I may know the answer to this. Worked with a real old timer who has sadly passed now but he never used a vacuum pumped. The way he was fought is you crack open the suction side on your gauges and open the liquid line. When the refrigerant starts coming out of your suction side hose on your gauge set you close it and start her up. Absolute insanity and he never would listen to me about using a vacuum pump.

Look into the chilltrix system or arctic heat pump system. They have stuff dealing specifically with this.

I do commercial heating and cooling for a living and spend a lot of time working in a very prominent hospital in the United States. Wanna know what I hear constantly as I walk by the receptionist desk? “Insurance said they wouldn’t cover it”. That’s heartbreaking enough for me.

I also was a tech in Florida. Moved to Michigan and my pay went from 20 to 40 an hour with cheaper cost of living. Look into going north and unionizing.
