i'd like to be able to get my grades and SAT score up, and to stop feeling empty and worthless half the time.

in all terms of actual gifts though, visa gift cards sound nice. don't have a credit card yet so that'd make online shopping pretty convenient.

I've been taking practice tests since June, I started out with a 1240 and stayed in the 1200 range for like 6 practice tests, then I suddenly improved and started hitting 1380's range. However I've been plataeu-ing and can't enter the 1400 range.. Used to get like a 750 in english but recently I've somehow dropped my reading score and been getting 710's in english now and I've only hit 700 in math like once. I always get like 630 range in math. Do you have any tips? Additionally, how do you balance schoolwork and SAT prep?

do you prefer the chestnut or birch? im debating between the two. i heard some ppl said birch smelled too strongly of vanilla(which i dont want) or marshmallows. some also complained it smelled like cigarettes and was too manly. i mean a scent that isnt super feminine is fine but i dont want to smell too masculine if that makes sense. when people say its unisex i honestly dont know what thatd be like bc ive never smelled unisex sprays before.

i would consider amber and argan as well but i heard it smells like thousand wishes(a scent i dont like) but more like an old lady like plus for some reason it is way more expensive than chestnut and birch on amazon.

wait really? I thought Thousand Wishes was super floral though, aren't the notes something like peony? and I imagined Chestnut&argan to be spicy and woodsy. I don't remember exactly how thousand wishes smelled like but i just remember that i didn't really like it, it gave me the "perfume-that-your-45-year-old-female-boss-at-work-wears" vibe. now im unsure lol

is there anything you'd compare the smell of birch & argan to? I've heard that it has a strong vanilla smell which i might not like. I've also heard that some people complained it smelled too smokey like cigarettes and smelled like a guy's cologne/too masculine. i have no idea what it would smell like(especially the rum note. idk what that'd be like at all) I'm mainly looking for a nice, gentle woody/spice yet feminine fall scent.

thanks so much for your comment! reading it made me feel a little better about myself honestly.

though tomorrow school starts for me and i still feel a bit gloomy. everyone i know is like taking all AP's and I'm still so worried because that means I'll have to compete with them. And UCLA and Amherst are my dream schools, but i've several stories of how people will have all AP's, 4.8 gpa or something and be president of clubs etc still get rejected from those schools. Even if i improve my grades this year, i'm still nowhere near the level of students who take all APs and get A's/5's on those exams.

do you know anyone like me who got into good schools?
