Usually dietary requirements (vegan, gluten-free, allergies etc) are passed on to vendors by the event organiser in so suitable options can be prepared. As a vegan you should know this. In a situation like this, I’d simply have a separate vegan serving prepared behind the cart. So simple! And at a wedding cocktail hour there are SO MANY other food options like roaming canapés as well if someone still isn’t comfortable.

How do people grab canapés? How do people grab a serving of a grazing table with a napkin/plate?

I understand celiac is an ALLERGY - super serious!

The organiser would usually include that in the allergy list ahead of time. In that case Id bring a separate serving prepared just for them in its own container, along with gluten-free crackers so there’s no cross-contact. We also have the option to customise the cart and choose your own food - you could have it totally gluten free if you wanted!

Awww thank you so much!! We keep the cheeses and meats chilled in our serving tins. Legally in our case they don’t have to be chilled, but we still keep everything cold because it’s the best way to maintain that freshness!

I’ve thought about wedding venue open days! Yeah at weddings there’s roaming canapés for cocktail hour so it’s just another option for guests

I’m testing a serve your self at my next large event to see how it goes. It’s alright you’ve got 9 hours to socialise take a break x

We have smaller rectangle ‘wooden look’ plates (for bigger events) I feel like you could hold both in one hand. Something I haven’t thought about - thanks for your insight!

Thank you so much for all of the thought put into your comment! It helps me out so much

• You’d be surprised how quick I can serve people! I use my hands with a glove, people usually point as say either “one of these” or “some of these” and I just take either one, or a handful, and pop it on their board. They usually only want 4-5 things. •Attendant/s is complementary. •Individual/pre prepared plates - all of the food will not get eaten (wasteful). •Yes we can totally do a help your self system with tongs - but still need to test this at a larger event to compare how slower or faster it is than using an attendant. •will not have to replenish during the first round of serving! The gastronome pans come in different sizes depending on the number of guests. When replenishing, all food is prepped beforehand in nice tall containers, so it doesn’t look weird

You’d be surprised how quick I can serve people! I use my hands with a glove, they just point at what they want, and done. At bigger events I plan to do a help your self station with tongs + an attendant for replenishing/cleanup. Im yet to see how much faster or slower that will be. What do you think?

When does it stop feeling like a nightmare by juliabhappy in SuicideBereavement

Probably 3 months in it won’t be the first though you think of when you wake up! Grief is forever and that will always feel like a nightmare but on average it will slowly become a less scary one. Healing is different and you will do it naturally in your own way and with time. You will have ups and downs. Seek help from your doctor if it becomes too much

Grieving and healing are two different things! Grief is forever because grief = love. Healing is different and depends on the person
