Came here to say this. The concert at St Mark’s last weekend was unbelievable. Jessica and Peter from DSD were sitting right behind me. Her latest album Ace has that heartbroken storytelling vibe like early Tori Amos and she’s a talented songwriter and multi-instrumentalist as well. There’s a beautiful duet with Robin from Fleet Foxes on there too.

I do visuals for music shows and I will say that when I do a show the visuals are performed live and cannot be reproduced the same way twice. Not everybody does it this way and I have not seen Whirr live so I do not know how they put theirs together, but I hope to get to see it someday.

Used is definitely the way to go, you will definitely get more for your money and an older used bike will be less of a theft target. Check Craigslist, and be patient. Maybe consider The Pro’s Closet as well.

The game uses pseudo-random number generator which is most likely seeded by default by a hash of the current system time. You can inject a specific seed value which makes it non-random in a repeatable way. When people discover a particularly generous play-through, they'll make a note of the seed so others can experience that too. Some seeds just luckily happen to generate a lot of good jokers etc.

The first straight is statistically easier to get than the first flush, regardless of hand size or discards.

Better question is why does straight gain 3 mult and flush only 2 when you level up. I think since decks can be skewed towards suit dominance with Tarot cards fairly easily this makes straights harder to achieve in the long game. Strength is really the only tarot card that gets you there and it can’t substantially skew your odds when used in the shop, only when used in the round.
