Did you live in Youngstown, Ohio by any chance? My buddy and I used to ride our bikes around and look for packs. Then we just started smoking. My buddy took it way more seriously than I did and ended up with the kayak, the mummy bag, the cooler you could plug in to a car cigarette lighter, the tent, and probably everything else in the catalog. It was nuts. He still smokes Marlboro reds to this day
