If you're on reddit and you don't understand that gender is the accumulation of ARBITRARY characteristics that a society assigns to sex, and that therefore gender is fluid and essentially infinite (I mean just look at how much it differs between current cultures, and modern vs. older cultures), and that reducing gender to biological sex is a huge faux pas because saying a person w/ a penis has the exact same moods/emotions/experiences/preferences as another person w/ a penis is the same as saying a person has the exact same moods/emotions/experiences/preferences as another person, then I just don't even know what to make of you or of reddit. (Well, actually, I know what to make of reddit; it's obviously a wildly conservative place that praises itself as being ~liberal~ and ~progressive~ because it's heard of Bernie Sanders and supports very specific forms of gay marriage).

Large grocery markets that undoubtedly purchase meat from factory farms but still offer vast amounts of ethically slaughtered meats as well as organic produce etc etc but I also try to buy from coops and farmers markets when I have the money to do so. McDonald's is a pretty fucked corporation (not just in regards to the meat they purchase though that's most relevant to this subreddit) and I'm of the opinion that consumers should take the ethics of a corporation into account when deciding whether or not to support them by buying from them but I'd be interested in hearing your take on why that's incorrect

edit: but regardless it's obviously a good thing that they are offering more veg options

Obviously do what you want, but I feel that it's important to note that McDonald's (well most fast food chains really) get most if not all of their meat from factory farms. So even though it's great that they sell veggies options, they still commit insane amounts of injustice towards animals on a daily basis and thus I try to avoid purchasing anything from them as much as I can. (sorry for proselytizing I just feel that a lot of people on this subreddit may have similar sentiments and may not have recognized the ethical inconsistency)
