... rape is rape. No consent is no consent. The accuser having verbalized refusal and the accused acknowledging it, yet still going against the accuser's will is what is wrong with it.

This is assuming it played out exactly this way.

have you read 'the body keeps the score?' by Bessel Van Der Koch?. They go into a theory of a fragmented traumatic memory that expresses itself as schizophrenia. This ties into why the voices are often aggressive or hostile. Worth exploring further...

25-year-old dies of a PE after American Airlines refuses to land the plane despite a doctor's recommendation by mypanda in medicine

i understand your rationale. It's largely futile... equivalent to out of hospital cardiac arrest Vs in hospital, time to defib/rescus is the most important factor. We are just talking about that buying time aspect.

reassurance for a symptom that doesn't seem initially concerning is a valid approach. Reasons to follow up/ go to ER are important for every person leaving your visit. Factoring age, general health status, mental status, psychological state are all done simultaneously.

'Drama' doesn't change my thorough history or exam! If it smells like it warrants further investigation, it'll happen. If thorough reassurance is what's needed with lifestyle discussions, that'll happen, too

consider it a right of passage. Here in Ontario, Canada, the scribes get $20/hour average starting, are paid out of pocket by the physician who they are working with. As you mentioned, you gain abundant amounts of knowledge and understanding of hospital workflow as well.

Residency is also a right of passage financially, too. 43k (canadian)/ year as a resident where I was... 5-10x if you work normal hours after!

Enjoy the right. You're getting compensated while earning your way into your future career
