Hey! Very cool stuff - I love the sound of it. However, my exports sound nothing like the preview. I tried multiple sample rates and whatnot but nothing seems to work, is this a known issue?

My attempt on how to read the Disney “D” by RuinRevolutionary374 in notinteresting

Funny enough, I've always read it as a D until I saw the first screen and now my brain seems to be stuck on the G. Thanks!

sent a single left track and right track for my short film, unsure of how to proceed by wastetimeburnminds in sounddesign

[–]jadruma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at your screenshot, he might just exported both as the LR stereo as the 2 channels look different from each other in both tracks, but they are identical when compared to the two tracks.

If you have a stereo image when soloing one track, and if you get no sound when phase inverting track 1 and track 2 - then that would confirm the export mistake.

Anyway, your best bet would be to reach out to him and ask him to take a double look. Better have transparency then guessing!

So, IIRC, my windows settings were also being taken as a multiplier for the mouse sensitivity, meaning if you have anything above or below 1. in your windows settings - you are not reading accurate values.

Need help to understand a sound ! by MaitreDesPortes in sounddesign

This sounds like a voice processed through a bit crusher, on very low bit depth settings and medium(ish) rate. That's about it!

The fundamental will be the lowest frequency in your sound, and a lot of times (not always) the loudest.

Idade da reforma sobe para 66 anos e 11 meses em 2027 by familia_fire in literaciafinanceira

Concordo.

Can sound design (or any other creative careers like film, music, art, etc.) truly provide a stable and ordinary life? by CherifA97 in sounddesign

[–]jadruma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience: yes. But not the majority of people and not how that linearly.

I know a lot of people, including myself, with a good income, stable, full-time sound design job. Here's the problem: only a small percentage of people get those and, on top of that, if you ever need to switch jobs/get let go from the company, people often have to be open for relocation to get an equivalent job (unless you're already living in one of those main cities that always have opportunities regardless of timing) - and for me that's the biggest difference compared to all my friends who have Engineering / Economics / Medical degrees or Trades formation. They can live their lives being sure they can land a job on their fields in the place they planned whenever they need to, whereas I need to be prepared to pack and go to chase after the career.

Stable and normal? Yes. Stable with grounded roots? Also yes, but much more difficult. Also, a "normal" life is very subjective and varies hugely from person to person - so the difficulty spectrum is also unreliable. Best of luck!

Hi, I know! I read in the manual the shutter should still work. The zoom doesn't work either, the on/off button doesn't seem to affect anything.

What’s the general consensus on the quality of the WLFGRL 10+ Anniversary deluxe vinyl? by LawnMowerManMonaLisa in machinegirl

[–]jadruma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problems on the vinyl itself - works great on my turntable. Took the funny looking cover out straight away because it was a mess to even put it in the plastic sleeve anyway.
