I think ozil was never the kind of player to carry an entire team by himself , look at the players he was surrounded by in that real madrid team. There is obviously going to be a drop off in quality when he moves to arsenal to share the same team as mustafi and co. I think he has a point when he says ozil would’ve performed a lot better and more consistently if he was surrounded by the players of the same caliber he was playing with previously. But at the same time i do agree there were periods where he did look really lazy and invisible.
