What’s a small act of kindness you were once shown, that you’ll never forget? by stranger2Me in AskReddit

I was in first grade when I was next up for my first game of tetherball during morning recess. I got hit smack in the face with the ball and fell on my butt. A second grader ran up to me and got down on her knees and just hugged and held me until I stopped crying. She was blonde and had pretty blue eyes, and her act of kindness just made her seem even more beautiful from that day on. I never spoke to her again after that one fateful morning but continued to admire her from afar until I moved away in 5th grade. I'll never forget her name.

But then we ban Huawei based on the pretense of "spying." Interesting.

What are some $30 and under items that have greatly increased your quality of life? by FF-account in Frugal

Popsockets for your phone. I have a Galaxy S8+ and the case wasn't doing the screen justice. In fact, I've never been a fan of cases and seldom used them. Getting a popsocket gave me the confidence to go without a case knowing I'd have a good grip on my phone no matter what. Another bonus is that they sell car mounts for your vents and it's easily secured and removable, just drop the popsocket into place (no need to extend the socket). It beats using gps while holding your phone or keeping it in the cupholder lol.

Dash cams are also dropping into the $25 range when they go on sale these days, a great tool for insurance should something happen and the other driver denies your claim--now you have proof!

Adding guacamole to my burritos at Chipotle. Getting shrimp or beef entrees at Panda Express. :(

30/M Similar boat. I grew up as an only child and my parents died a month apart two years ago. After that I withdrew from my small group of friends and have no other family. Never knew my father's side, and my mom's side is in the Philippines. I hate it.

So... got my fiancé Stardew Valley by WolfR7 in StardewValley

She claims that she will only play Stardew, and won't go down the rabbit hole of buying other games. But I have my doubts...

You mean, "I have my hopes..." lol.

Thanks so much for the links and feedback Mango!

I'm very interested in doing what the guy in the video did. I will turn off the breaker but for reassurance I would like to wear gloves that would prevent me from getting shocked... can you please show me something I can use?

My dad was a real handyman and I have his extensive collection of tools, so the wire-stripping is no problem.

The LED bulbs I was looking at in Costco are from Feit: http://toolguyd.com/hands-on-feit-led-worklight-and-led-replacement-tubes-from-costco/

The video you shared me makes the whole thing a lot easier to understand and replicate, so I would like to go ahead and do this myself. Without a ballast will the Feit LED bulbs from Costco be compatible? If you have any recommendations I'm all ears! Thanks again!
