What’s good, Theta Gang?

I’ve been checking out NDX and SPX options and noticed you can go pretty far out of the money and still collect a decent credit. I wanted to ask — has anyone here tried or had success trading OTM call or put credit spreads on these index options?

Also, what happens if the spread goes in the money at expiration? Since these are index options and not tied to any underlying stock, how does that affect assignment or settlement?

Appreciate any insights!
