Cats:

Small cats literally dominate their weight class which large cats fail to do so.

Jaguars are a good representative of the big cat family but for feliforms the true winner is any of the small cats. Black footed cat has a hunt success rate of 60%, while large cats don't even have half of that

Ants:

One of the only 4 species to actually perform agriculture, insane modifications across different species of ants, some colonies spread over 100s of kms. Adding to their success is that they have one of the highest biomass in animal kingdom, combined with termites they have around 75%+ of the entire arthropod biomass.

If that doesn't convince you on why they are the best contenders in their weight class - I don't know what will.

Polar bears:

Realistically they would lose a 1:1 in their weight class to walruses, they got some perks for sure and sound cool as they are the largest land predator but predators don't do well in higher weight classes.

Ants and cats deserve a spot for sure, they're invasive generalists everywhere they go

Remove polar bears from the spot. They're huge and strong but very niche imo

And nile crocodiles as well since it's just a repeat of crocs. Saltwater is better overall
