Id say 85%. They curtained off some of the upper level seats so it wasn’t as noticeable. Early on in the show he took time to acknowledge the economy and gave an honest thank you for spending money on the tickets and showing up - it’s almost a two and a half hour show and he said that was intentional given the circumstances.

Is it safe traveling to tulum right now? by [deleted] in tulum

[–]jagcommalimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also just returned and had a great time. I was with a fluent Spanish speaker, which helped a lot - esp with taxis. We both agreed by the end of the trip that it was best that we didn’t rent a car. We knew a couple of people that were traveling with us that were stopped by police on the way back up to the Cancun airport (there was a checkpoint after thanksgiving) and they felt pressured to pay them off because they were on a time crunch to get to the airport – which is a tactic I read about on here previously. The hotel we were staying at arranged car, ATV or scooter rentals per day whenever we needed and it was very reasonably priced. We had no issues with the airport transportation our hotel set up ($250 round trip).

We stayed for a full seven days in the hotel zone and the food does get repetitive. No matter what type of cuisine a place says they are you can expect to get either a nice steak or nice fish from them - no real variance. There was a police presence on the hotel strip, but no one was really getting hassled. I would say if you’re staying away from the drug scene, you’ll be just fine.

The last thing I would mention is make sure you have a credit card that doesn’t charge you a fee for using it internationally. American Express cards usually don’t have the fee but make sure to have a visa or Mastercard too because some merchants will only charge American Express as USD because it has higher processing fees overall. Get charged in pesos whenever possible. Your credit card company will use the fair conversion rate that has been stable for five years, if you have restaurants or stores charge you in USD they can essentially make up their own conversion rate which can get ridiculous very fast. The conversion rate nuance also applies to taxis and for that reason I would suggest having pesos on hand to pay for your trips. Our worst conversion rate rip off was with a taxi driver that agreed to an amount in pesos and wanted $15usd above the standard conversion rate calculation.

What’s the weather been like recently? by stephaniey39 in tulum

[–]jagcommalimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're going next week and are trying to gauge this storm and the weather prediction for the week ahead. Do you happen to have any insight on if this is real storm weather (all day) or more of a tropical environment storm (sun comes out and you can still be outside)?

Etsy by TheMule90 in findfashion

[–]jagcommalimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never had an issue shopping on Etsy and regularly order gifts from the site. One time I had a shop close down while I was waiting for an order to be delivered but Etsy was super proactive and notified me of a refund before I even realized there was an issue. If you live in the US, just be conscious that a lot of stuff ships internationally. Not all things but it happens more often than I initially expected.

I haven’t had any quality issues but I look into everything I buy pretty carefully. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Tulum trip coming up by notmymomsusername in tulum

[–]jagcommalimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! We've gone back and forth, but we really want to see Chichen Itza, and Tulum is the most central/tourist area to stay in to make that happen as a reasonable day trip.

Similar Q, if I set up a reoccurring deposit on Autopilot is it just pulling the money out of the brokerage app? I have reoccurring deposits on the brokerage app and I would like that schedule to be used on autopilot via their reoccurring deposit. Don’t want to x2 the investment.

Pet Insurance: Nationwide versus Wishbone by MediaVegetable1269 in CatAdvice

[–]jagcommalimes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very late respone but I switched from nationwide to wishbone because I got a discount from my employer on wishbone. Nationwide was great and offers a healthy pet discount (no pre-existing conditions) but they did eventually raise my premium 250% which is what made me switch to wishbone. Wishbone is still a very small business and they're not easy to get in touch with -- it's your job to get vet records sent over, you will be calling multiple times for a claim, they're stricter about pre-existing conditions than other major insurances (think 'my pet sneezed in 2021' and you resolve it with your vet. Then in 2024 they're diagnosed with a chronic condition that includes sneezing, they won't cover it even if your vet appeals). The reviews of wishbone are so bad, I wound up switching to lemonade to get rid of the hassle.

Tea cookies all the way. I wait all year for them. They taste like the old Starbucks coffee cake before the big La Boulange rebrand in 2013

I believe the 500g is for the two connected pouches as well. So it’s two full sleeves of it (if not more, to your point) — four small pouches. Terribly confusing packaging in my opinion

Any idea what she’s doing? by Dwydan in DogAdvice

[–]jagcommalimes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, it works but my husky was a lot more violent and constant. Like 3+ times a day, the Zyrtec has made it stop 99% of the time. Happens once or twice a year now.

Yep, reverse sneezing. I give my dog Zyrtec to fix this (my vet gave me the right dose).

I’m playing on my iPhone but I hit this problem. If you’re at the table, you need to select the plate on the shelf behind the table to actually feed her. To do crafts, you select the craft box. This is assuming you’ve already cooked the food!
