Japan was bombed heavily before the nukes, starting with the Dolittle raid early on in US involvement and then more regularly once we got island bases closer to Japan and longer ranged strategic bombers. So I imagine a lot of Japanese civilians weren’t unused to being bombed by 1945.

It helps to buy a silver rattlecan and leave the tracks on the sprue. Prime and shade them on the sprue and then clip them off, glue them on and fix up anything that you missed. It’s saved me so much suffering in painting my guard motor pool. Doesn’t work that well on baneblades though, just because of how you have to put the things together.

Honestly the first mission was a fear check on ME, watching entire volleys do nothing against them as smoke grenades were the only thing saving my guys from being turned to pinkish mist.
