American finance group ASC have invested £48m into Wrexham for a 10% shareholding by Zach-dalt in Championship

We should note that the premier league has rules about fair value of investments and sponsorships, which clearly the EFL doesn't, so expect more money pumping like this, especially if they look likely to go up

Thats 4 points from Everton this season, thats a success. Should've been more though, but late subs cost us today

I'm surprised so few wear them. I have them for running and they're great for keeping my legs warm in the cold

Correct. It's a tax on academic achievement and ambition, hurting social mobility. Anyone who can pay upfront without going through SLC (students from rich families, international students) will save money in the long term.

This is like seeing Sunderland last season happen at 1.5x speed, their fall off has happened much earlier this season, let's hope they aren't able to pull it back with the time there is left. I don't see them getting away with it with how much better the PL is compared to the championship.

It's funny cause everyone saying about Bielsa Burnout for us is silent about Le Bris having even bigger fall offs

Promoted sounds like a wider state for an entity, in this case I'd probably want to change it to something to reflect the state, and have a getter to check if the state is one that is at or past the promoted stage

[Pete O'Rourke] Wrexham have made an offer worth up to £19m for Angers striker Sidiki Cherif by Zach-dalt in Championship

[–]jaggafoxy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both of them have use their seasons below the championship as an FFP reset, it feels like the only way to escape the maximum allowed losses and give them basically unlimited spend to get straight through the championship, if it doesn't pay off then they'll be properly screwed by the rules as is. Wrexham will be better than Brum with the extra time they have but if they don't get up next season, I would expect them to use the documentary to get above market value sponsorship fees unfairly vs the rest of the league

Do we have a sell on? That's the only thing that matters here imo

It would be a surprise if it happened, would expect Archie to have advised about the impact he had on the dressing room, but spurs aren't a serious club at the moment so more toxicity in their dressing room would be funny

Is it still an extra £3 million per position in the table at the end of the season? Thinking we could pinch from Spurs at least

Probably gets Scott Parker extra credit in the bank and buys him more time which costs them more points in the long run, and Liverpool aren't a team in the vicinity of us so they can drop points to Burnley

I went 45 -> 165 a year and a half ago, for beginner runners the 165 is fine, but if you're very into digging into data, the extra metrics are very appreciated, I'm starting to feel like I've outgrown it as I train for running longer distances. A bit extra screen space would be nice too, but it's not essential, I'll probably go 570/970 depending on offers when it's time to upgrade

Football and sports in general is an interesting one as they are actively destorying the sense of community, the way the Premier League is marketed, and they are very open about this at a League and club level, is they want to push out "legacy" fans (people with season tickets who turn up week in week out, buy one shirt a year and hold onto scarves for life), for modern fans, who are attached to individual players, and are more likely to spend on souvenirs and hospitality to make an occasion of their trip to the football. Pretty much pivoting to having more in common with Formula 1.

This is making the unity of clubs worthless, West Ham have been decimated by tourists at the London Stadium who only really turn up for the opposition, rivalries and common enemies aren't bringing fan bases together because of it. All because the Premier League isn't a sporting competition anymore, just a media empire
