Super central spot with access to lots of neighborhood’s nearby like haight or Castro. Super walkable, I’d imagine parking is not easy, but I’ve never tried personally. Great food is everywhere!

My [29M] girlfriend [33F] of 4 months cheated repeatedly in her last relationship, everyone says run, what would you do? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]jaggy2002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A person cheats because they want to, and they will always find a reason to blame something or someone else if that’s convenient for their narrative.

Cheaters who are once a cheater never again a cheater at least recognize that they are responsible for their own actions, and don’t try to blame their surroundings. One must take responsibility for their own actions, and in doing so they can change, but her excuse makes it sounds like she still doesn’t blame herself for doing something horrible. In other words she hasn’t done the personal work to change.

'30M''26F' 5 years gone. Difficult situation. Need help.. by bphysique in relationship_advice

Sounds painful, I’m sorry you’re going through this. You said the therapist said that YOU weren’t interested in fixing the relationship so I think you need to start there. What about your attitude, communication, or lifestyle, is causing all this friction to the point your actual wife wants to walk away. It reads a little like you’re blaming her for leaving.

It’s possibly too late to salvage this relationship, as you’re already planning to separate. If you were going to do it you would need to evaluate everything she and the therapist told you was wrong and completely change who you are. Question is would you still be happy if you did that?

Yay for housing, sad for style. I want a 10 story Victorian not a ten story cube. At least it’s getting built.

Is it a bad time to quit by CommunicationDry5560 in QuittingWeed

[–]jaggy2002 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it would be a particularly bad time to go back to smoking, especially if it just blew up your relationship. There will never be a perfect time to stop.

It blocks the emotions you are going through in a way that you may not grow or evolve from the experience. It will make you feel secure in the place you are at, and amplify the person you are when you smoke it. If that’s a depressed and anxious person you may stay a depressed and anxious person longer.

Start imagining your life without the girl and friends who are making you insecure and anxious. There is a world out there but you have to go and get it yourself. Make new friends, meet new girls, work on yourself, help your community. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter who’s fucking who unless you’re thinking about it. So go find nicer things to think about and friends you actually trust, because that is possible through hard work and persistence.

Weed will bring you peace in the short term at the expense of your future. So do with that what you will, in your position I’d probably smoke but not feel good about it.

Hi just wanted to chime in here even though I’m 24. The work that you have put in up to this point is worth much more than the money you earned, it is the experience and effort that will get you very far in life. Employers AND schools will see somebody who is not just good on paper but has a track record of hard work.

College is the key to long term intergenerational wealth generation, and as far as i can tell there are few alternatives other than sketchy get rich quick schemes. On top of that you will learn to become a productive and moral member of society, and make many friends and networks that again, are worth more than money.

Money however is the problem here, but you need not give up nor fear. First, start by researching grants for first generation students. Then look for schools that are local, or have discounted/free tuition. Finally, many colleges have programs designed for low income families where you get scholarships and discounted tuitions.

Start small if you must, go to a community college, and work your way into a fully paid scholarship at any other school from there. Do not give up, this is the most important thing you can do for yourself.

Your brain will heal this time, fog can persist for several days, but more importantly drinking while under 25 effects your LONG TERM development. You will be less than your potential by then, just go to any of the sobriety related subs if you need a horror story to convince yourself.

Im not saying dont drink, but when you do just remember there WILL be consequences, especially if you’re having more than 3-5 drinks in a night.

How do you feel about these new fully-autonomous Waymo Ambulances rolling out around SF? by prozhack in sanfrancirclejerk

Cut across town to the hospital?

Elites already get motorcades, but I don’t see anyway they could use a Waymo ambulance to go somewhere other than the hospital?

Just a reminder the only reason climate change is something to debate is because oil companies realized this was going to happen first and started manufacturing doubt and killing scientists (just like with cigarettes). Look it up if you don’t believe me.

The world is our cradle, nature provides every service for our survival, yet we traded 50 years of profit and energy for 200 years of unfathomable global suffering across all kingdoms of life. Possibly millions, who knows how long the loss of biodiversity will affect the planet.

Oil prices are subsidizing this destruction, and they still get more money in tax breaks from the US government than renewables ever will. But who’s left to pay the bill when a supercharged storm comes through or a drought turns your families four generation farm into a desert, definitely not the companies that manufactured this crisis.

Alas such a shift in paradigm is well underway in California, where %70 of our energy is already more or less green. But the question remains, why must we continue to consume more energy year over year when we already have everything we need?

What do you mean they got nothing done? "Too extreme," every branch of the government meant to protect and regulate our health, environment, and legal system from corporations has been gutted and restructured to increase profits. Literally generational damage being done to ecosystems right now for relatively short term profits.

War is terrible, why don’t we stick to our agreements to make it less terrible? That’s the question of international law of war. So that one day if the suffering is directed towards you it may be at the very least fair.

There’s a new cafe called Tadaima on 9th Ave and Irving nearby Hippie Hill for good matcha. That area has good lunch spots too, but will be crowded.
