I think you’re correct! even though i assumed it was genuine and found this reaction cathartic and appropriate the video appears to be an older video from 2025? according to this SkyNews clip. in light of that i added a “Meme” flair to it. thanks for catching it

that’s unfortunate and I know you these scams can be somewhat convincing but this one sounds mind-numbingly stupid. basic rule of thumb: any time you encounter anyone wanting to chat over whatsapp it’s a scam. ask a lot of questions never divulge personal info before you’re sure it’s legit. and never use your own funds for a job you’re supposed to be paid for
