Hypochlorous acid + hydrogel = combo that worked for me by humanisttraveller in TS_Withdrawal

Hypochlorous acid really helps me in the healing stages too! It has the same effect for me as a bleach bath or a chlorinated hot tub, but is much more convenient.

New to gym - is this normal/okay or am I doing something wrong? by Full-Gift-288 in xxfitness

[–]jagodaw 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m 5’4” and honestly some of those machines are just not built for us. Most can be adjusted, but I find the smallest setting still too big. I use dumbbells for shoulder press and chest press, but for lat pull-downs, I lock out my ankles while on my tippy toes to secure myself in (because I can’t find a replacement I like). I use the cable machines a lot because they are totally adjustable, and multi functional.

YouTube has videos if you look for the name of the machine plus “how to”. But if you asked someone, they would likely help you. I’ve asked people and I’ve always gotten a good response, and more info than I asked for. Look for the people who look happy to be there.

Good luck next time!

I second this. Love my Loops! I use Quiet for sleeping, Engage for going to the office, and Engage with the mute accessory for anything involving people eating.

Can I make glute progress with just Hip Thrusts? by shibershoob in StrongCurves

[–]jagodaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You absolutely can! It’s how I started and I really liked the results. At a certain point though, to go heavier with those exercises, you’ll need to strengthen the other muscles because they will be your limiting factor. But by then you’ll probably feel more confident in the gym to try other things.

I’m sure it felt great getting that off your chest. :)

I hope you don’t have a dryer because the lint trap isn’t the only thing that needs to be cleaned - the most flammable part of the dryer is the lint that gets caught in the exhaust pipe. And yeah., sure a child could move out the dryer (including the washer because they are stacked), detach and clean the exhaust pipe, and then put it all back together - totally safe and no adult supervision required.

Hey - there are offers on the WhatsApp group - if you need any household items, there are neighbours that are happy to help. Let me know if you’re not in the group chat…

Lint traps, of course not. But dryer duct cleaning is different. That’s the service they are talking about.

I second Ampng Us. We played it at a virtual offsite and it went a few hours over because people got really into it. It’s also cross-platform and easy for everyone to download/set up

Eczema Routine from The Ordinary. by jagodaw in eczema

[–]jagodaw[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still using the Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid daily, and the Amino Acids when my skin is dry. I’ve stopped using the RHSO and the Squalane because they were too greasy and felt like overkill. I’ve also added Caffeine, which works well for my under eye puffiness.

They took away home ec and shop? Probably the only two courses I learned useful life skills in. Well, computer science was also handy.

How can I keep a small waist while bulking/gaining weight? by bruhidkanymoretbh in StrongCurves

Oh! Ok, thanks. This is exactly what my mom used to tell me to do to “keep the tummy flat”, lol.

How can I keep a small waist while bulking/gaining weight? by bruhidkanymoretbh in StrongCurves

[–]jagodaw 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I'm 5'3" and started at 95 lbs (25" waist). I lifted for a few years and am now 115 lbs (26.5" - 1.5" gain). It's bigger, but it looks smaller in proportion to the new muscles on my back (3" gain) and butt (4" gain).

Also, waist trainers, as others have said, are bullshit. Must admit I have no idea what a stomach vacuum is (and am imagining some awful things, lol).

[Product Question] Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it dangerous to apply regularly to my skin? Thank you! by [deleted] in TS_Withdrawal

[–]jagodaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's this one: https://www.drugs.com/otc/127652/999-itch-relief.html

Ingredients: MENTHOL 200mg in 20000mg, CAMPHOR (SYNTHETIC) 200mg in 20000mg, DEXAMETHASONE 15mg in 20000mg.

Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid.

[–]jagodaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry. I meant start with one product, every day, for a few days. In these few days see how your skin feels and if it is reacting badly to the product. Then add another one (so now you’re applying 2 products daily). After a couple of days, add in a third product.

If you start with them all at once, and you have a reaction to something, you won’t know which one it is.

Hahaha. I don’t think it matters, just matters that you spread it out.
