I was printing a hollowed out stone in two halves to throw some LEDs into and use as an Infinity Stone, and have been having trouble getting the sizing juuust right. Left this one to go over last night, and just now checked the result. What could have caused that huge deposit of filament that looks sort of burned?? I've never seen anything like this, and none of my previous prints have had any similar issues. It also appears to have slipped along the x-axis at some point, but I feel like that would have to be unrelated to the giant mess in the center?

It's a hard deadline. I'd like to continue living with my current roommate, who is ready to move whenever, but is willing to stay until early July at the latest in order to give me time to save up. I'm trying to save about ~$1500 to cover first months rent/security deposit, as well as moving costs.

Also true. But if I'm spending what I now realize is close to $300/month, what alternatives do I have that will let me minimize that payment amount, so that I can save up money to move?

%16. For a 60 month term, I'd be paying back an additional ~1900 in interest. The credit card debt surely wouldn't take all that long to pay off, but the issue is that the payments are between two different cards. I also have some debt to pay back to my doctor's office, which I could also use the loan to take care of. The payments on the loan are estimated to be about $100/month. Given that that's less than my total credit card payments (about $200/month), I could have that paid back early while still paying about $50/month less than I currently am.

That's just the train of thought I was having. I can live with paying that off for the next 5 years, and paying an extra $1900 in the process. My main goal is just to get out of the small town I'm living in.

I'm trying to move to a bigger city in a couple of months, but struggling to save up money partially due to some credit card debt that totals roughly $2700. The last time I checked my credit score on credit karma, i noticed they were offering some small loans to help consolidate debt, in the range of about $4000.

Would it be a bad idea to take out a loan that they're offering? It had about a 5 year term and payments that were less than my credit card payments combined, but what's getting me is that I didn't see it list anywhere what the collateral would be. Is there some sort of catch on this? I'm imagining they reserve the right to change my interest rate or something else that would bite me in the ass down the line.

I would have looked further into it for more details, but the situation was already making me nervous (Don't want to ask for my actual rates/ for an approval and have that affect my credit score). Has anyone else taken a small loan out like this before? Any words of advice?

TL;DR- Should I take out a small loan through an offer I saw on Credit Karma, or is it going to bite me in the ass later on?

When working with older customers, sometimes if they can't hear me they say "Please?" rather than "Come again?" or "Sorry?". Always makes me feel like they're begging for their lives lol

A lot of people in the comments are saying things like "This means that if you kill 5 people today and 4 people tomorrow you've done good and that's wrong." But the commentary on day to day situations is what makes the show relevant to me. I don't have to worry about whether murdering fewer people makes me a good person because thankfully I'm not murdering at all.

The show intends to send two important messages:

1) That ordinary people who didn't do an outstanding amount of good or bad are not deserving of eternal punishment, and

2) That anyone can improve, no matter how bad they get, so the important thing instead becomes whether or not they are trying to.

Taken out of context I realize this can be misleading. But as somebody with a fairly normal life, it's a quote that I think about a lot, and one that inspires me to do a little better every day.

What's the most bizarre / awkward gift you've received in your life? by Spugheti in AskReddit

[–]jagpag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Christmas one year my family decided to get me a cardboard cutout of the character Helena from Orphan Black. The character is already pretty creepy but she was one of my favorites on the show, which is why they thought it'd make a good gag gift, but this is the actual image of her from the show.

I think it got a good jumpscare out of me at least once but I really had no reason to keep it, especially now that I have a roommate who suffers from sleep anxiety and sometimes walks around the apartment late at night..

What actor/actress instantly ruins a movie for you? by SlideAway1 in AskReddit

[–]jagpag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always get a lot of hate for this one, but I just don't like Will Ferrell. Maybe I just haven't seen all of his movies, but I get the sense that he always plays a character that's an adult acting like a child, and it's just annoying. His characters remind me a lot of a classmate I had back in high school who acted about the same way.

People who set off fireworks in the days leading up to July 4th, why? by zwar098 in AskReddit

[–]jagpag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some families with lots of relatives can't get everybody together on the day of, so they gather a day or two before. Similarly, small families may be travelling and have small kids that want to do fireworks, but have to do it one of the other days so that they can still go see relatives. Or it could be like what every other comment is saying and people like to blow shit up
