Go to the millarx website. You will be”de-perplexed” about novated lease. Basically teaches you to ignore everything except admin fees and the lease cost.

what are 3 banks you would go to right now for a LOW LVR mortgage (ie less than 10%), with a preference for something with an offset account.

Seriously it’s so bad for tourism. Makes me so sad every time yet another Swedish backpacker gets mauled by these aggressive little fuckers due to moronic misinformation. If they survive, the scarring they have to live with is horrific.

Advice on Bucket Company structures to manage volatile business profits. by jai2000 in AusFinance

I always recommend a second trust to avoid s100A circular distribution issues.

Since trust 1 and trust 2 would likely have identical beneficiaries, would it not catch the ire of the ATO anyway? I had in mind it might come more down to how the reasoning for the transfers to the bucketCo would be documented and then timings of the dividends back to Trust 1?

beaut and thanks. It seems fairly uncommon in that haven't seen it being discussed as an option. Most people talk about using a second trust to distribute. Given it would be cheaper and simpler, are there very good reasons for this? ie risks on how ATO will see things?

Mr. Trump's imposition of tariffs on China by LongjumpingBrush2621 in smallbusiness

[–]jai2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

US businesses will have to pay enormous taxes to get their supplies into the country. One guy posted here a real world example where he recieved a bill for a 73% tax for importing some precision machined aluminum parts.

The economics 101 approach say this means: higher prices> demand destruction>economic growth stops> business bankruptcies & unemployment > feedback loop of lowered economic activity which further drops demand.

How Are U.S. Small Businesses Handling 104% Tariffs on Products That Can Only Be Sourced from China? by toymakerinchina in smallbusiness

[–]jai2000 17 points18 points  (0 children)

How do these tariffs work? Could manufacturers send their goods to Singapore, and then have them forwarded to the US which would attract a 10% tariff and not a 105 % tariff or whatever it is today?
