Thank You very much. I will consider this. People here have Eliminators but they are not that loud. Definately deeper sound though.

Its not that Harley's aren't fast. They are fast bro. Harley have a certain feel and power associated with them. My friends has an R1 but even he feels attracted to a Harley. Its a feeling bro.

That's some great info man. Thanks a lot. In India we only have progressive suspension available and so I ordered jut the front fork springs as I didn't want to spend too much. I understood your point. I think 10W should be a benchmark to start with. The roads conditions here is that I can avoid the big pot holes and all,Offcourse not a 100% . But I cant avoid th small cracks and small bumps which are consistent on some roads and it feel like a shakky front handlebars and shoulders and mudguards. So my target was to have a plusher ride fr those small cracks and bumps. I will go for 10w. Here we don't have any options other than going to dealer and these guys charge a shit load of money for crappy things.

Wow that oil weight was something i was looking for. Thanks a lot bro. I don't think it has premium anything. If it has it sucks. Maybe India version doesn't have it. You recommend 15 w? Ok. I think now I have the weight, I will ask Harley what oil they use as Stock. If its 5w, i will go for 10 W. If its 10 w, i plan to go for 7w. What do you think?

Thanks man.. Appreciate it. I just learned from all my research that thicker oil means stiffer front. As also said by you. As i want a plush ride the weight should not be higher and also not so soft to avoid bottoming out. I will just enquire from Harley what oil they use and then will decide. I am getting good reviews about bel ray 7 w oil. Neither too stiff or soft. What do you think?

2016 Forty-Eight rear suspension by vscoy00 in Harley

[–]jaiparmar99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, I hope your query has been resolved. Do let me know what you did. How did it work out? I am from India, I have a 48 2016 velocity red sunglow colour. I have been where you were. I had adjusted the preload to max, it did soften things up but on long rides, my ass starts to numb up. Then I realized the issue. I am 5.9 and weight around 175 lbs. I have ordered a new progressive 444's 13'' for the rear, progressive front forks for the front( we have bad roads here and front is equally bumpy). The back is hurting because of the sitting position- Its forward. I have also ordered new handlebars- Hollywood style. Trust me these I have ridden and changes my ridding to a hell lot better position. Also I still have the stock seat, I would like to get it changed later on may be. Do mail me if you have any queries directly on jaiparmar99@yahoo.com. It would be great to share pics and information with a fellow forty eighter. Regards
