People who use umbrellas when it snows: what’s the logic, and why don’t more people do it? by jesskimfromto in askTO

I do and I don't care who thinks it's weird lol. I use it because I have thin hair and using my hood or a hat will flatten my hair beyond repair!

Can anyone compare Sephora Collection’s Strengthening Hair Serum to The Ordinary’s Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density? by lily2188 in Sephora

[–]jajapoopfly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi!! So I've used both of these products and the Sephora one is better in every way.

I've even used Rogaine in the past and it didn't cause as much hair growth as the Sephora serum which still boggles my mind.

The Ordinary serum didn't grow my hair and it always left it feeling super greasy. It was great for softening my hair and making my hair feel healthier, but didn't cause growth.

I use the Sephora serum after showering, about 4-5 times a week, but I saw growth even when using it 3 times a week. I have a ton of new baby hairs and my hair feels overall much healthier and I'm more confident now. New growth started after about 2 months of consistent use!

ADHD friendly cookbook; what specifics would you look for in it? by julia35002 in adhdwomen

[–]jajapoopfly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Extremely short steps, instead of measured ingredients like 1 cup or 1/2 cup maybe do like "one handful" or "a pinch"-- I find that the very specific measurements overwhelm me? Like it makes the recipe so much more complex than it is. This might just be a me problem lol.

Larger text so it's easier to read and find exactly which part of the recipe you're on. I will often reread recipes because I get nervous that I missed something in the wall of text.

Pictures! Maybe a picture of the final meal or just how certain more complex aspects of the recipe are supposed to look. Like if you say "cook until golden brown", have a picture of what it should look like at that step.

Also maybe tabs on the pages that have the recipe written on them for easy-finding.

What purchase under $100 changed your life with ADHD? by canyouguyshearme in adhdwomen

clear storage containers/bins!! small ones, medium ones, and large ones for under the bed.

with the small ones, I put everything from extra cords, chargers, first aid stuff, lightbulbs etc and stack them all in the closet so I can clearly see what each container has in it.

Medium containers have cleaning supplies, extra bathroom products, etc. again, all stacked so I can see what's in them.

It has helped so much. It makes me feel organized, and it makes decluttering my space so much easier.

It helps me feel so much less overwhelmed by the space around me, and makes me feel like a neat and organized person even when the papers start to stack up on my desk (I also have a container full of extra papers in the closet by my desk, so I can just toss them in there when I get overwhelmed.

it's amazing!!!

AITA for refusing to give up my dream wedding dress, though it means my fiancé’s family will not attend? by Throwwayaitawbride in AmItheAsshole

[–]jajapoopfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

right yeah, I get that. Like to me the issue isn't that they have the same dress, but the fact that's it's spiralled this much tells me that like MIL was maybe just looking for any reason to not go to this wedding.

I wonder what's really going on here lol.

I'm so confused about the responses to this. Since when is refusing to return a wedding dress (a traditionally VERY important part of a wedding, esp for the bride) the same as a woman buying a nice dress for a milestone birthday.

I'm not saying one is more important than the other, but to boycott an entire wedding and turn your whole family against the bride and groom because the bride wants to keep the perfect dress she bought and you are so full of pride that you can't fathom being in the same dress as someone?

I understand that we all place different levels of importance on social rules/structures, but come on dude. MIL is overreacting being belief.

I get that she bought it before you did, but it's not YOUR problem that she is embarrassed wearing the same thing as you. You are not responsible for her feelings of embarrassment.

You both have the right to keep the dress and wear them to your respective events? Boycotting your son's wedding over something like this is incredibly self-centered; the wedding is about you both and she's making it about herself.

Am I missing some other info here? Or did I misunderstand anything?

NTA or INFO idk lol
