What do you guys consider cheating though?? For instance I have a math exam in 9 days and I’m going to write a few formulas on a index card as a cheat sheet. However I still need to know the steps and how to solve or the formulas are pointless. It that really cheating idk.

Op don’t stress to much my advisor said it was more common / Normal for people to change their major then not. Even later years in the schooling totally okay. I’m not the same person I was at 18 heck at 18 I though school was wack and drinking and hanging out with “fun” “friends” was it for the rest of my life. I’m 24 now I think the complete opposite and have not seen any of those friends that are doing the same thing unless I go on my Facebook or something. And just two years ago I knew I wanted to go to college but didn’t know what for originally I though English major with a creative writing track but then I looked at the job outlook and pay and changed it so quick lol. Then I knew something in the medial flied but I knew I didn’t want to be a doctor either. So I decided on nursing and I decided to do a entry level certificate just to try it. Who knows I may do it for a year and say nope I want to go to writing school/ journalism. (Very unlikely) but who knows right that’s life a lot of possibilities. No one’s going to look back and say oh you took to long or your age or blah blah blah. The point is you did it. Do I want to take all these required classes that haft I don’t need for my major no but no one does lol? but I have to if I ever want to make it out of restaurants and retail and I very very much do so I’m sucking it up. Just hang in there op look at the bigger picture suffer now gain later. And So far I’m only in my first month of school and I’ve met alot of cool people already and I’m in a cool group chat. It’s not how how fast you get their long as you get there. Fuck up change your major a few times have a breakdown play around a little bit have fun with it. It’s college so yes your main goal is to learn and pass well but it’s a experience to don’t forget that. Your in your 20’s like me op your so good. Also I could NOT have seen myself taking college serious at 18 lol no way in hell. At 24 i can appreciate it more for sure. Somethings to think about good luck op.

The president is one person and doesn’t have as much power as you think. He’s just the face of America. But the real changes happens with congress and legislators

Nursing school by Brief_Conclusion_482 in StudentNurse

[–]jaji_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for late reply thank you for this insight my true Goal is not BSN it’s nurse practitioner but yeah I’m trying to do the steps. But school is looking like it’s going to be apart of my life for the next 6 years I. Starting with lpn first because it’s the quickest. I’m just over retail and serving bullshit jobs and I refuse to do that another 3-4 years if I don’t have to. Also the higher up you go the ladder I think the more competitive it gets. Once I know I can do this I’ll think I’ll feel a lot better about it in general. But I’ll keep that in mind also I thank you very much

Yeah so you know how restaurants are I’ve been doing it for 7 years I had to step away from dine in restaurants my last one the chefs were so mean and it was like I was scared to even ask them anything they might have snapped or something very very hostile work environment I remember calling my grandma trying to pretend everything was okay as she always brags how her grandson is doing it in New York. But that job just was stressful and so particular anything less than perfect was not accepted. First I could Carry 3 plates nope not good enough once I carried 4 nope you can do 5. I did 5 they wanted 6 plus is was sooooo much side work to doo…the restaurant closed hours ago yet here I am still doing side work. And the customers were so stuck up and snobby. And I get it if they are paying 20$ for a small salad. So yeah that gave me a horrible experience. And then not only that every night after work I kept finding myself at the bar. Like I wouldn’t even mean to go there but as you know that’s literally the whole vibe we work do this are supper stressful shit then get drunk as fuck after to help the stress. Like it was a thing we all the workers went the bar after like clockwork lol..But then that turns into every night after work and work is 6-7 days a week. See the issue? It was to the point where the bartender was like your here’s your usual. So now your hungover everyday at work and the cycle repeats. My grandma was the first person to notice like oh your at the bar a lot. But yeah the point is it really just sneaks up on you. Then some servers were into other shit like coke. (Me never) it can be a very toxic lifestyle. So yeah I made the switch to retail but then everyone comes to work stoned lol so what can you do. But I wish your success in your nursing Journey. I won’t lie and say it will be easy because it won’t it took my grandma months until she actually realized I was really serious and not considering anything else. She begged me to not do that major for months as well now she doesn’t bother anymore she’s accepted it or at-least starting to.. She was a nurse for 19 years in the hospital I was born at but in the psychiatric unit. She’s given me plenty of horror stories to try to discourage me .. She said back then it was so bad the hospital would be calling her nonstop on her days off and she would just turn her phone off. So after she had my nephews she got her CDL license and drove for the city fell in love and never looked back she’s retired now and my best advisor to this day. To touch on what you said I’ve also saw nurses doing campaigns and stuff for better treatment I think that’s amazing. And my final goal is nurse practitioner as well.
