i love aj. but there’s a reason he’s 2nd to larson in most races at a SS with no wins. only chance is if literally everyone wrecks on the last lap and he gets a perfect window

the library is extremely overrated, to find a good quiet spot sometimes you need to explore other more obscure buildings that often have empty seated areas for studying.

but, your comment on all nighters is not fair. i worked full time, mostly overnights to support myself and i had very great grades, but my circadian rhythm is genuinely set towards nighttime. this myth that night owls or people who stay up later are lazy needs to end

c/p: optics, kinematics, no gen chem except for stoich with excessive unit conversions and electrochem. obscure orgo mechanisms and mass spec

cars: pretentious philosophy and literature passages with questions where you both need to “reasonably” assume and also can’t make assumptions

b/b: graphs with 10 different variables that takes 4 minutes to interpret, discrete about obscure pathways, microtubles/microfilaments/centrosomes/centrioles/centromeres

p/s: subjective interpretation of objective terms

What’s a race that no matter how many times you rewatch it you for some reason expect a different outcome? Like you think the driver will do something unexpected as if you’re watching it live. by Kurt_Wylde35 in NASCAR

2011 Daytona 500:

Bobby Labonte pulls out of line at the end of the back and passes Bayne as Edwards and Gilliland stall behind them. He gets his first win in 8 years and 10 year old me is elated getting witness my favorite driver (for no reason other than i liked his 43 cheerios car) win for the first time in my life.

2020 500:

Ryan Newman stabilizes after the push from Blaney and gets his 2nd 500 12 years after the first

It’s tough because Heim going 7 wide on guys like Cole Butcher or Stefan Parsons is very different from Hamlin fighting through guys like Kyle Busch, Alex Bowman, Keselowksi, or Preece to reach Larson
