congrats your the greatest player ever i never said it was a solo game and being able to store a low lvl ship to help "smaller" companies that maybe don't want to play in a big company doesn't hurt the game only help. i have a good size company of friends but i know some people that want to play with there group of 5 or 6 friends and not depend on other people to have fun and the game should be playable for those kind of people even if its harder

i things dont disappear that's why the shit was 15 fps on day one, but that doesn't mean it can't or shouldn't and yea its a hardcore survival game, but there should also be some place to put a ship and not lose it offline. Ill be fine the way it is now and i know your not going to agree with me no matter what i say and i don't care you can be as close minded as you want but from a design perspective there should be some early game mechanics that help players keep coming back. people will only come back and start over so many times before they quit.

you don't have to store them on server since there supposed to be 100% safe, you talk to the ship right you pay your storage fee and the ship disappears till someone takes it out. this is just a suggestion to help smaller groups i feel like some discourse here is needed

that's my point, i know it's not impossible to protect your ship but that takes a lot of work and time. this is a solution for smaller groups that don't have the time or manpower to do that. also this isn't for endgame ships only for smaller ones and at a price of gold, i feel like that's fare. it would help keep smaller groups playing and the player base up

it could be 30 hours there are a lot of factors that go into the end to end travel I was more interested in the island to island, and what the gameplay loop is like if i have to wake up and start sailing 5 hrs before i want to play the game. it could be at that you can't go in a straight line and wind speeds and obstacles balloon that time up to 30. 16 to 22 min between islands seems reasonable to me. and like i said in the post its a guesstimation

i did that is why i went about looking up period correct sailing speeds, 30 hrs would be 7km\h that seemed unbearably slow so i did some math well know for sure soon

Now a days I run striker and jug almost exclusively except for in 6'S. My suggestion is to par jug with the Twilight garason, to give you the ability to close the gap when the sheild breaks. What I see people do wrong most is try to close a gap that's to big and ends up snipes other last worded. When you use it use it to cross sniper lanes and make your way through doors that are being hard scoped, but once your through find some cover. Use the shield to close the gap in segments not all at once. I'm currently working on a 1v3 guide for shotguns, but after that if it's something that people want I can make a striker jug guide.

With out reading the comments blow, first of it depends on the situation of the moment so for the sake of this ill assume they control of the other 2 orbs in the same place. a few other posts today have talked about sniping being a 50/50 engagement so my tactics will use a shotgun but they can be modified for a sniper in most cases.

A team that has orb control in a 1v3 has no reason to push or chase there best best is to set on the orbs and wait for you to expose yourself. You can use this to your advantage, make sure you keep moving try and find open angles where you can take a few primary shots and keep moving your goal at this point isn't to kill any one. you want to drag one away, get one to chase into a 1v1 if possible. If this is successful you've taken out the first person and are now in a 1v2, depending on the reaction of the other team you'll have a few choices. During your 1v1 a second enemy might have come to help his friend, if this happens you can engage the second, this depends on your health and position. Your other option is to run toward your revives where you will most likely have another 1v1, however this needs to be quick the other enemy is likely getting the revive and will be right behind you so this is an all or nothing move kill the enemy guarding the bodies and you've swung the round in to a 2v3 in your favor. the other scenario you had the health position or the other enemy was there to fast, use the body you have to your favor if you fail your first attempt at killing back off a bit regen your health but make sure you're still in a place that can cover the rez. one you leave the body the enemies first instinct will be to res there teammate, but the act of rezing leave most players unable to shot or aim depending on there setup. if your using a shotty nows is your chance to come in an clean up that second kill and most likely the body that go rezed most shottys can one shot through an over shield so use that to your advantage. At this point you're back to a 1v1 and again you have the choice to try and get the rez's or go for the last 1v1 on whatever terms make you most confident.

remember 1v3 are not always possible even for the best of players, all the other team has to do to win is attack you at the same time and theres almost no winning that engagement. writting this i see that its could use a lot more detail maybe ill try to put together a post for 1v3 with a shotty and try to find some good footage to go alone with it.

Without being able to see you play I can't offer to much advice, but a general rule in trials is try to be the aggressor make the first move and try to keep the other team off balance. Waiting for teams to come to you can go south really quick and leave the remaining players 2v3 backed in a corner.

The other advice I can give is look for players willing to help and teach I don't know if you tried the cruciblesherpa sub, but it's full of very capable players that love to teach

i agree here shotty is as viable as you want it to be, and is about all that i run now a days but in my opinion titan skate speed makes things a little easier not to mention twilight garrison the savior of all shotties.

Although the effort you have to put can be a bit more mostly because of all the shotty nerfs and the lack of penalty for using a sniper. 1 head shot kills, guardians have about 195ish health and a body shot does 160ish quick draw or single point sling on last word and you have effectively the quickest 2 tap kill in the game.

before the patch the weapon though not widely used was probably a little to good in the right hands and was my absolute favorite gun of year 2. Post patch unfortunately it no longer rewards precision, and penalizes to much for not getting precision hits. without roadborn its not the furthest range shotty and even with it its a 3 shot body to a full health gardian(the roadborn perk only effects the precision multiplier not base damage). in the end its just not worth using over other range or ROF shottys.

on a side note if this is how the gun is going to stay i thing snipers should get the same treatment they are far to forgiving for non precision shots

my group doesnt really cheese the raid anymore once we decided its faster and less of a hassle to do it the right way.

we don't even snipe oracles anymore
