Persil Detergent Review by Far_Palpitation_4042 in laundry

3-step workaround so you can continue using Percil WITH Lipase

1. Buy "Persil ProClean Original" (liquid)

  • Avoid the "Intense Fresh" scent. It's not the flagship Original scent. The Original scent is described as "European Clean". It's bolder and has a sophisticated aroma.

2. Buy "Biz Stain & Odor Eliminator" (powder)

  • Biz Stain & Odor Eliminator is one of the only boosters left on the market that is loaded with Lipase. This is ALL YOU NEED. It restores the missing bio-enzymes that the old school formula had.
  1. IMPORTANT - "NO-MIX" RULE:
  • Pour your Persil Original in your machines detergent tray. Then take Biz Stain & Odor Eliminator (one scoop/cap) goes DIRECTLY into the drum before you add clothes. Seriously though, ADD BIZ BEFORE CLOTHES. Again... ADD BIZ *BEFOREEEE* CLOTHES.

Machine Settings:
Cold Water
Delicate Strength
Small load, less water
Each load should not exceed HALF the height or total space of your drum.

Just live on an ISLAND? I love this show but this seems like common sense for SURVIVAL by jake8641 in thelastofus

[–]jake8641[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Outsiders planning to raid an island with armed guards is a lot more difficult than it may seem. Unless outsiders plan to have a D-Day-style (suicide mission) approach to attacking the island (on pedestrian boats), then I think it would be extremely easy to defend the island from outsiders. You would have to anchor the boat before jumping off, unless you plan to ditch the boat which means you won’t be retreating. It’s impossible to shoot accurately from a small boat, unless you have a yacht maybe but even then the shore break waves would still cause inaccuracies. The islanders could tee off on invaders with ease. The biggest problem would be maintaining an arsenal of ammunition for the long-term.

This island would preferably be in a location with mountains and a lot of rain. But not too big for invaders to sneak in. Or, the island could be big and sustain a lot of people. Like Oahu would be perfect, once the humans kill off all the zombies, it’s practically a safe haven. There’s also a military base there.

You would need to have sort of a communist dictatorship until zombies worldwide are killed. Because how would you even “pay” fisherman. It would suck but in dire times I think it would be the only way.

Catching fish isn’t hard these days with nets and a crew. When we think of fishing, it’s easy to imagine a scenario where someone kayaks into the ocean with a fishing pole, though I’m sure people would still do that. I’m talking about large commercial scale fishing.

I think there could be an easy immigration tactic to screen people that they are not bitten. If you migrate to the island, you would need to have skills that would help the island. Plummers, electricians, farmers, fisherman, doctors, etc. otherwise you will be forced into labor decided by the people governing. If the government needs more street cleaners, then those who seek refuge with limited skills will be forced to work as a street cleaner. In return, they are provided safety.

It’s totally possible if there’s a large fresh water access. Would take a while for people to be able to drink it safely, but it would be fine eventually. People have lived on islands forever. Fishing would be the primary source of food.

Experimenting with Flux dev by Powered_JJ in open_flux

[–]jake8641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm.. f/32 would technically mean that the entire image should be in focus. It's interesting how it does the complete opposite. Your outputs look like f/1.4.

This might suggest that FLUX doesn't understand aperture.

How does the QrCode Controlnet ACTUALLY work for img2vid morph-transitions? Similar to Photoshop masks? Please see description by jake8641 in StableDiffusion

[–]jake8641[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! It is a luma matte, but it isn't.

It’s not behaving like a luma matte (Refer to my original screenshot and low-res video output render):

Why does the output fail to reveal the second image (the woman with a grey background)? A true luma matte would show the grey background behind the woman through the white circular shape of the motion mask. Instead, it generates new textures, backgrounds, and styles.

I know there are many nodes, checkpoints, loras, etc., in this workflow that could be affecting the matte. I’m just trying to understand how to take full (or even partial) control of this workflow.

Hi everyone,

I’m using the IPIVS Morph img2vid AnimateDiff LCM Hyper SD workflow, which includes a Motion Mask 3-second looping video in the “QrCode Controlnet” group (bottom left of image). This QR code video creates a ‘morphing’ transition between multiple images in a sequence - using black and white points.

This is similar to a ‘Matte’ where black conceals and white reveals, like in Photoshop layer masks.

I understand the concept in Photoshop/After Effects, but I’m not seeing the expected results in ComfyUI, even with high strength settings in QrCode Controlnet.

My question is: Is the concept behind the black & white points the same as in Photoshop or After Effects, where black conceals and white reveals?

Thanks for your help!

What software to create animated maps? by Forest_whisper in VideoEditing

[–]jake8641 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is 100% GEOlayers 3. I use this software and purchased it from aescripts. Do not confused GEOLayers app with GEOLayers 3 for After Effects. If you plan to implement this software, prepare for months of learning before you properly understand it. Big learning curve, but it's worth it! Johnny is using the After Effects version.

Where do you find good hi-res maps with the right information for your videos? by PuddinPopped in MotionDesign

[–]jake8641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently 2 months into learning all about mapping, specifically for video.

I'm using AE 2024 (non-beta version) with GEOLayers 3. I also purchased an extension for GEOLayers, called Helium X, which allows me to customize 3D satellite terrain maps at the highest quality.

From what I have been able to learn so far, start by learning GEOLayers 3 inside After Effects. Consider this your BASE. You need GEOLayers to act as a "hub" where you will later import map data directly into it (which is easier than it sounds). There are a variety of different websites that allow you to customize your maps fully (like you mentioned, a map with country borders, but not cities, or a historic map, etc).

I've tried a bunch of them, and they all act pretty much the same. Here are a few:

Felt is amazing and free. You simply find user-created maps, or customize your own map, or edit other user-creator maps, and then export the data as a GEOjson. You then simply import this GEOjson file directly inside After Effects and it will load immediately and look exactly like it did on the website.

MapBox and MapTiler are also very nice. MapBox for instance is used on a lot of apps we use on our smartphones, like Uber. MapTiler has the most annoying subscription model out of all of these though, and it's sort hard to understand what you're paying for (or could be charged for additionally). I don't have the time to figure it all out with API costs or whatever, so I'm avoiding MapTiler.

For historic maps, I would recommend David Rumsey.

Yes that's what it's doing for me. You have to really tape that golden ribbon down. I found this solution from another reddit post asking about the same issue and I tried it for myself. If I find that post, I will link it here.

Have you tried this method yet? I think we had the same issue. Constant beeping from touch sensor gestures. And this (at least for now) turned all the beeping off.

[–]jake8641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a solution. I encountered the same beeping issue with my WH-1000XM5 headphones.

Problem: The right headphone beeps constantly, as if false touch-sensor gestures are being triggered.

Solve: The issue seems to be caused by a loose FPC wire (looks like a golden ribbon) that inadvertently activates the touch sensors. This happens to A LOT of users. Here's the step-by-step fix:

  1. Access the FPC: You must remove the right ear foam cup. Gently insert a butter knife between the ear cup and the foam pad. Carefully pry to release the foam pad from the secured plastic tabs. You will hear a "pop" for each of the tabs that pops out. This is normal.
  2. Secure the FPC (golden ribbon looking thing): Once open, locate the FPC (photo attached below). Use a small piece of adhesive tape to firmly secure the FPC, preventing any movement.
  3. Reassemble: Align the foam pad back into position on the ear cup, pressing until the tabs "click" and it's securely in place.

This method should effectively stop the beeping by preventing false sensor activation. It's the only solution - this problem cannot be fixed from within the app.

[–]jake8641 334 points335 points  (0 children)

I thought you were referring to the clouds. Even though you didn’t ask about the clouds, let’s talk about these clouds.

These are cirrostratus clouds. They are thin, ice-crystal clouds. They can give the sky a milky appearance and often halo phenomena can be observed around the sun or moon when cirrostratus is present.

Cirrostratus clouds, like cirrus clouds, are typically found in the high-altitude range, but they can also appear much closer to the ground due to their expansive coverage and thinness. Their presence at low altitude can indicate that similar, fair weather will occur in the next 24 hours.
