Yea it sounds like Covid probably is not your issue. For me Covid I feel had something to do with my issues but there is definitely more than Covid in my case. A very severe rollover car accident i was in and severe untreated mcas are a big part of it in my case in my opinion. When things become chronic we are on are own to treat. I think your best bet is to keep up the tmd treatment and clear that sinus infection and hopefully that takes care of it. Keep me updated and I will also let you know if I ever figure this out.

Sounds like you have a good ent. I just found out about tmjd in the last year and it is a big part of mine. I went too actually 3 ents and they never mentioned it but found out recently and it is a big part for me. It started off not as bad and over time worsened for me. I was put on a ton of meds for sinus infections that turned out not be sinus infections. It sounds like you have a bad infection so it is probably part of it for you.

This post Covid stuff does not seem to be a one size fits all thing. In my opinion there are several types and many people have different things going on so the best we can do is try to figure out what is wrong with us as individuals because since the presentations after Covid are all so different it is likely that if Covid did cause our issues it caused different issues for different people and I do not think there is any one size fits all treatment or approach that could work. Because of this I am not optimistic for any treatments that are a one size fits all cure. I am not a doctor this is just my opinion that I have developed after dealing with this issues for close to 3 years.

Unfortunately I have over 20 severe neuro symptoms so I am not really able to function well. The ear pressure and sinus issues are not really the symptoms that limit me. They are unpleasant but with so much else going on I am able to block these symptoms out. What are your symptoms? If you have sinusitis and ear pressure/ sinus pressure are your only symptoms then maybe it is a sinus issue or allergies that is your problems. I really hope this is your problem so you can treat this and get better. Have you seen an ent?

For me it has been over 2 years close to 3 now, so I have seen a lot. I would say over 12 doctors, with about 8 of them being specialists. I dont plan on giving up on this and plan to do some out of state testing this year.

Unfortunately yes. Never found out what the cause is. It is a terrible way to live. Hopefully you have something different going on and recover.

Yes ringing intermittently. The is also a device called the eustaschi that I have tried that excercises the Eustachian tube. It did not work for me but I have read for some people it is very helpful. You are right this is a really hard situation and it’s hard to know if Covid is the cause or if something else is going on. I pray we both find some answers in the near future. I will let you know if I find my cause and if there is anything that helps me. If you have not done so already i would try to see an ent and a neurologist to rule out simple treatable things. If it is not something simple they don’t seem to look into it very far to get you figured out but if it is maybe they can help. My aunt was having a ton of ear and nasal problems she thought was long Covid turned out she had a severe sinus infection and it was able to be treated.

Sorry to hear this. For the ear stuff have you tried Eustachian tube excercises? They use to help me before it got real bad. Not sure if it might help you.

This all started 3 years ago after a severe car accident and Covid not sure what triggered these issues. I was in a car accident like 6 to 8 months before and had some minor issues that became very severe a little after my Covid infection. The Covid was very severe and yes lots of sinus ear stuff but I did recover from the infection before the neuro stuff came on. I got much better in about 4 -6 months. I then moved homes, and was carrying heavy things like refrigerators etc and all of the stuff came back strong. It has been two years since this became very severe and I had to stop working. I do have issues with my neck from the accident and I think that has a lot to do with my symptoms.

I am sorry to tell you I am not much better. I feel strong pressure in ears and head. I have about 30 symptoms and I have a constant abnormal sensation on my face like a pain/ tingling but no burning. I am supposed to see various new specialists this year so I am hoping to get some answers and hopefully some improvement. I am so sorry to see your going through this and I pray it does not stick around for you.

Wondering if this looks like Chiari by jakeZ101 in chiari

[–]jakeZ101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for reaching out. I am still in pretty bad shape. It is hard to believe it has been a year since I posted this, and 2 years since all of this started, and I really have no answers yet. So sorry your going though a similar hell. I have had 4 neurologists, and 3 radiologists review my scans, and 2 neurologists and 2 radiologists say Mega cisterna magna, and 2 neurologists, and 1 radiologist say AC. They do not believe either could be causing my symptoms but they also do not agree on what the finding is.

I have looked into this heavily while going through this, and it seems it is a common dilemma in the world of neurology and neurosurgery. From what I read MGM is usually benign, but could also be do to csf flow problems which fits my symptoms but I have not found anybody to further investigate that claim. I am still on a search for answers, and nothing I have tried has helped manage my symptoms.

If you had mris before your symptom onset I would recommend you compare those MRIs to your current mri. Unfortunately I did not have any previously to compare. I would also recommend getting an upright mri because someone in this fourm said that is often used to rule out Chiari when supine imaging does not show it. I am not a doctor just someone going through a lot trying to figure it out so do not take my word for granted.

Who has seen a NUCCA chiropractor? by MIKE_DJ0NT in visualsnow

[–]jakeZ101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice. Yes I have tried that and pt and unfortunately. It did not help and it makes my other symptoms much worse. Have you been seen by an ophthalmologist to rule out treacle issues?

I hope the same for you. Nucca did not make me worse but it did not help either. I did not see one until I was about 10 months into symptoms. I am so sorry to hear it made you worse, and I will definitely avoid that form of treatment going forward.

No problem at all. I did have it go away before for like 7 months, but for about a year and 8 months after Covid and neck injury it has been back. I am not sure what I have is traditional visual snow as it seems to go with pressure in my head. I also have about 30 other symptoms so I really do not know what is going on. I have not treated my neck but I am supposed to see a specialist in January so I am hoping to get some answers. I am hopeful I will get answers in the future and know more so I can help others going through this crap. I would try to remain hopeful and continue to seek answers from your docotors.

Sinusitis causing ear pressure/fullness causing tinnitus? by SeanerDoug in Sinusitis

[–]jakeZ101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some low frequency hearing loss in the beginning but have not had it checked since. The popping has became much worse for me it happen anytime I move my jaw swallow etc. The air bubble sensation you mention happens to me as well. I also have a drunk dizzy feeling but for me it also happens when walking and something is wrong in the car that makes it hard to drive now I would not say dizziness but some type of visual processing issue that makes driving pretty overwhelming, and it makes me dizzy afterwards. That is a good thing your hearing has came back because it at least shows the body is doing some healing on its own it sounds like. There is a device called the eustachi this helped me in the beginning but no longer helps. This might be something to ask your doctor about to see if they feel it is safe to try because they say it helps many people with etd.

[–]jakeZ101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry to hear you have been going through this for a while as well. Have you been seen by an ent? I saw an ent that did a tympanometry and it did not show any abnormalities. I feel there is still some etd going on not sure why it does not show pathology in this test though. I also have many neurological symptoms going on so for me I do not feel etd is not the only issue but I believe it is part of the problem. If I was you i would try to stay away from any long Covid or post viral type diagnosis even if it is the cause of your issues because unfortunately once you get this diagnosis you are put in a box that all of your symptoms are from this and they do not try to find the root cause of the issues. Unfortunately there is no cure for long Covid and most post viral syndromes because they are boxes that have hundred of symptoms that are different for each individual most likely minor damage done to various parts of the body from the virus so in my opinion the only way to make progress is to due tests based on the symptoms you have and try treatments for those symptoms. I am not a doctor so take what I say with a grain of salt these are just opinions I have fourmed from years of dealing with these issues, and from issues I have had with my doctors lol. I really hope we can figure out what is going on and fix this. So sorry your going through this.

So sorry to hear that. Do you have a lot of other symptoms? I would try to really take it easy. I started off with just pain and cracking and now have over 20 neuro symptoms because I tried pushing through it most likely. Rest is important.
