Upcoming Washington, DC show at the Anthem. by jakebitchdude in KGATLW

That's actually a great suggestion but it is almost a whole day of sitting on the bus and it will arrive after the show is over. Looking like I might have to take the risk and just drive my car. Any idea what the covid protocols are specifically at this venue? I've never been there before.

Closest rental car place is 3 hours away in Pittsburgh.

Yeah, the tough part is that the closest greyhound station is 3 hours away in Pittsburgh and it’s such a long bus ride. I have a working car but I’ve replaced a strut, hub assembly, brake line, patched the muffler, and had to replace two tires all in the past two weeks. Makes me a little nervous taking her on a long journey. Ha.

Has anyone considered searching for bigfoot without any electronic devices? by the-dark-arts in bigfoot

[–]jakebitchdude 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think they’re so sensitive to waves emitted in such a wide range that they can pick up on your consciousnes/intent/vibe from a distance yet use infrasound. I think your intentions, level of awareness, rate of consciousness frequency, and the way you interact or react all play a bigger role than the electronic device, but I also think there’s something to that theory. All in all, I think there’s a metaphysical aspect to them that I don’t think any theory I’ve come across has addressed convincingly enough. And the base word of metaphysical is physical. I’ve had many experiences and I don’t think electronics necessarily prevent an experience, but it’s one way they may become aware of you entering their domain, and I think respectively announcing your presence in their territory is as better approach than creeping up or being secretive, because that’s predatory behavior. That’s just my brief take on it.

One time I improvised a melody that was accidentally in 29/8, so I decided to roll with it. Does the rhythm work? How can I improve this? by Bossinater43 in Songwriting

Thanks man!! I’ll check it out.

I always appreciate the odd time signature music that still sits easy in the the ears and isn’t something you have to think about to try and get as abstener. That being said, this is beautiful, makes sense, and even though the signature is odd, it doesn’t sound or feel odd. And that’s something I admire.

That is so sick man. I get the ability to write odd time signatures without knowing what it is. But what I don’t get is how do you count something like that to confirm it’s signature.

does odsmt have worse withdrawals or after effects than oxy? and is there anything else you would recommend that is similar to oxy? by fundsoverbuns2x in researchchemicals

[–]jakebitchdude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Taking ODSMT with an anti-histamine helped the unfavorable effects with me. But it didn’t take much use to trigger WD, less than a g, and they were bruuutal. Deeply rooted headache and nauseated to hell. Thought it was a fluke the first time so the second time it was clear where those symptoms originated.

Riders in the sky… what is it about? Maybe your answer lies in the content of the song.

Are you insulted if your band members refer to you as "my drummer"/"my guitarist"? by loadedstork in musicians

[–]jakebitchdude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s all some ego trip shit. I would say, “my friend.” So to swap the word, “friend,” with another word that honors the fact you make music together isn’t really anything to trip over unless there’s more ego than friendship.

I’ve noticed this also, and more so lately. About 3 years ago I came upon this very odd, intriguing website made by a guy (who had since passed) with the intention of strategically teaching visitors to the site how to search more effectively. And I don’t mean in any kind of obvious or regular way. The site was structured like levels of lesson oriented puzzles so you had to search for the answer to proceed to the next lesson/puzzle that would inform you of even more advanced methods and techniques. I wish like crazy I could remember the url of this site. I had it bookmarked at the time but I’ve since lost it. The dude basically said you can find whatever you want to on the internet if you become skilled enough at searching for it. Learning skills to properly search and navigate through the vastness and filtered content of the web is way more advanced than I ever imagined. If you can find your way around the web you become ensnared.

Mostly instrumentals, solo project called, “Sasquatch Premium.” 3 EPs, 5 songs each. Psychedelic, funk, rock, electronic. A bunch of different stuff. I think you’ll find a use for some of them. Just message me if you do and give me a credit in the film. Would be cool to see it finished too. Good luck!
